Archduke Franz Ferdinand just got capped in Sarajevio. The information war is well and truly under way.

they can't win

these upload/link sites are more vulnerable to takedown (though new ones can keep springing up, much faster than they can be taken down) than p2p file distribution (e.g. bittorrent) ... clearly upload/link is sometimes more convenient than p2p, but p2p could be made more convenient (something worth working on)

copyright infringement is the only real charge; "money laundering" and "racketeering" are just tacked on ("racketeering" doesn't even mean anything, it's something US government made up)

Military keynesianism is the concept that the United States relies on waging war as a form of keeping their economy flowing. Search around or in politic economy books. Colonialism is due to the fact that the whole Europe relied on the slaughter and enslavement of whole populations in order to grow to what it is today. They shattered tribes in Africa in order to guarantee civil wars, funded the Paraguay War, armed both sides in the islamic revolutions et coetera, the list goes on man.

Military Freidmanism is the concept that the United States relies on waging war as a form of keeping their economy flowing. Search around or in politic economy books. FTFY: Freidmanism is the term you're looking for -named after Milton Friedman- the US economist credited with the invention of Reaganite economics and general contemporary US economic and foreign policy, see herehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shock_Doctrine

Keynes -as far as I know- was the guy who introduced loads of mixed economy stuff in the 1920's to the US: public services etc. following a similar model to the social democracies in scandanavia and so on.

Military Keynesianism exists as a slur against Keynes, I'm pretty sure that the left and Trotsky described the permanent arms economy which describes the role of war in protecting the American economy.

It's not a theory or doctrine of his, it's an accusation. Yes, you are right. He believed that public costs were a way to rewarm an economy, but he criticized the fact that United States was and still is doing it through war, hence the name. Sadly, I never had the chance to study Milton Friedman's work, so I can't really argue on that, but I did study Keynes. Only had 6 months of Political Economy in college :(

that's a slightly odd definition in wikipedia. whose accusation? keyesianism is (roughly) using government spending to get the economy going. if you do it with military spending, it's military keynesianism. nothing to do with whether keynes advocated military keynesianism (he didn't, as stated).
