which software do you use to cut your mixes???

Post by chrizz » Sat Jun 16, 2007 2:17 pm

or dont you cut your mixes???

to waste not too much time with cutting a friend decided to devide the mix by the number of songs. (example: there's a mix with 18 songs and it's 63 minutes long: 63 : 18 = 3.5)
so he makes cuts after 3:30 minutes. nevermind whether that matches with the actual playlist.
he uses samplitude which is a really good program for cutting i think because of this multi-track-bouncing-possibility. so you set a marker at the beginning of each new song afterwards you just have to click "burn cd".
i don't like this kind of cutting bacause afterwards youre not able to skip to the tracks standing in the playlist.

i use cubase but it is really annoying to set the left and right locator at the beginning and the end of each song every time again and to export the songs manually... every time again.

how do you solve this problem?

soundforge man. Just be sure you can take out the 2 seconds between tracks when burning.
