What is your DAW missing?

Post by William Brave » Mon Jan 23, 2012 8:34 am

I was just reading about Logic Pro and saw that it had music notation. I use FL Studio which does not yet support notation though it can export PDF scores. What are some things you think your DAW of choice is missing?
I don't think FL is missing much but I wish that multiple patterns or clips could be played simultaneously like Live. And I hate Live. But that's the one thing I think they got over FL.

per-clip volume envelopes and stuff would be nice in FL, especially now they're ditching the old pattern block view and more and more shit has to be done in the sequencer track view bit.

Rewire Nuendo into FL to use as a VST instrument and you can browse samples with it.

Cubase can't play audio files?!? I wish FL studio had automation and time stretching like its done in Soundforge, with grids and graphs and exact numbers.

I wish Reaper could uhmmm... Have a prettier built in synth?

Oh and maybe some of the menus could be a little less convoluted.

i wish ableton had a primary color other than the blinding bright gray one they chose.

daws overall would benefit from some ui customization options... a way to make your workspace more "you" :cornlol:
