House Production Feeedback Thread

Post by malabuandcoki » Wed Jan 25, 2012 12:14 am

Yo, I've been looking for some feedback on some of my tracks.
However in the production threads, its all people making midrange dubstep. They arent exactly the right audience to gain advice from. I wondered if anyone else had the same feelings. (if there is already a house thread for this please let me know)

Anyways heres my unfinished tune.
If anyone wants feedback on their stuff i'd be happy to provide.
it would be good to have a thread of only house/etc tunes

nice tune man, i love the way it drops at 1:00. However i think the tructure lacks a little bit. I think for the first bit it moves along well getting bassier and bassier- it loses the rhythmical edge to the bass drums though with the sub underneath which imo it doesn't need, the bit at 1:59 to 2:55 could be dropped altogether- the drop there is fire! Also the tune could do with a breakdown at some point where the drums drop out so that when they come back in again theres more of an impact seeng as you kind of get immune to the rhythm as they just continue pounding on, meaning the drops lose their impact.

Also, I'd change the panning on the hi hat so that its not always in the left ear but moves around through automation which'd give more movement to the tune. Also, i'd make the chords after the drums come in a bit stabbier and shorter so they don't drag the groove behind. Good tune , most of these points are just personal opnion :w:

Love the chords in the intro, really nice stuff and then the drop is beautifully rhythmic- only thing I would maybe do is remove some of the bass from the panning synth as on my headphones it kind of overpowers the kicks/toms. Really beautiful work! Post here when it's finished please :D

Here's mine- a WIP :)
