thats what Kode9 needs to figure out.

i think hes figured that out...
when it comes to burial fans, he's wearing factor 50 troll-cream
if he was a shape, he'd be a trolologram
before he goes to bed, he puts on his oil of trollay
hes nearly as bad as Ed Boon with Mortal Kombat fans!

calm down...
do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the masters, seek what they sought.
I agree. I never heard drums and rythmical patterns comparable to Burial's. I never heard such a great mixture of sonic photographs, acoustic rooms and different sounds of materials and media. His music slightly remembers me of ideas of R. Murray Schafer and electro-acoustic composers like Francis Dhomont in some points. Burials music is completly different to functional dance music but still keeps a decent progression. But anyways, his music is no magic and if some people would keep on going their own ways, trying to reach their idea of perfection, thoose could create somthing similar. That's what producers need to figure out, nowadays. That's what Kode9 figured out allready.Azureless wrote:Burials music is something else.

Re: new burial
Burial's sound is the sweet glow of X.
Mixed with the glorious rhythm of Ganja.
Combined with the dissociative qualities of K.
By far my favorite music of ALL TIME, and I am fairly convinced that he will remain king for an eternity.

Re: new burial
I fail to see why the release date being put back a couple of weeks makes it so much less special, or whatever it is that it's meant to be.
If it was that special it wouldn't matter if you had to wait a decade. Fucking Burial fanboys, I can see why Kode 9 gets so irritated.

Obviously, I would be happy if every day I woke up and there was a new Burial release (FAO: Kode 9 - Please consider Burial advent calendars), but I'm more than happy to wait.
Barring some Stairwell/Feral Witchchild situation, I know it's coming, and that's enough for me.
Re: new burial
Still don't quite get that one. Nothing on Lambeth/Feral Witchchild for me, but that's another debate.LumiNiscent wrote:all I need is this one and I can die happy

Re: new burial
^same. the vocal just makes me uncomfortable. emotive in a cartoonish way.
Re: new burial
The vocals aren't even out of tune in a cool, creepy Burial way. They're just out. But each to his own.

Re: new burial
a better way to put it - the vocals sound like a parody of burial. they arent subtle or fit within the drum-programming.

Re: new burial
According to Kode9 on twitter the next Funkystepz ep (HDB055) will get released on the 6th of feb...
Don't know if that says anything about Burial's release? Will probably get released after the 6th then, I think.
