Destructive - Our Sound LP

Post by sixdegrees » Sun Jun 17, 2007 11:50 pm

Bored of hiphop, and wanting to hear something new...i went down my local record shop one afternoon in '05...and came across this LP. From reading the captivating blog on the back, and playing just one track...DJ Distance - Swarm, i realised i had to buy it!

Once i was home and listened, i realised this sound was going to be big, sounded like no other! Now its bigger than ever, and as long as too many cowboys dont get involved it should stay that way! Got a set in the dales next weekend and im going to bang them yorkshire bastards ears with bass they didnt think was possible haha!

Big up to every one in the scene right now!

it was one of my first lps, distance's track is good but my favourite is defenitely Toasty Boy 'Dibble'

SICK
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

This is still one on my all time fav releases...

So many classics but Slt - Stopper, Skinnz - Corner & Search & Destroy - Secret Weapon still get canned on a regular basis

also check out Destructive 002 Search & Destroy Espionage / Killamanjaro

large up Prior & Lohan on these

Definitely my most prized piece of dubstep wax, so many great tunes at a time when the 'breaksteppy' sound was at it's peak imo.

All about that Skinz track for me.

Does this exist on vinyl only? No CD or downloads?

My turntable died and I'm just a listener, not a dj. I didn't see an mp3 or CD version at boomkat, or mp3s at bleep. There may be other online stores that could have it, but if those versions don't exist....

destructive have been nearly all vinyl from day one. there's one or two s&d tunes on the itunes store, and then there's the mix cd, which is now a pure classic.

If the mix CD is Search and Destroy: Back to the Underground, that should be in my mailbox any day now.

Too bad about the vinyl-only releases. On the other hand, I'm buying a ridiculous amount of dubstep as it is... maybe I'm better off with some of it being unavailable in digital form.
