Nadal failing on the mental game. What's he doing so far behind the baseline?

djokovic is great! i reckon murray could have beaten nadal if he'd just got through that 5th set.
Re: The SNH Tennis Thread

Looking like Djokivic is starting to tire. Nadal has the momentum, I reckon he might have it now

Such a good final, and god damnDjokovic's girlfriend

Nadal really should have won this set easily considering he was nearly 5-2 up.

Both players were absolutely unbelievable in that. How does someone keep coming along who is even better than the last person?
Federer< Nadal< Djokovic

How do you know that its not as time goes on, the better ones get worse? You cant have someone be the best for ever, someone newer and better is always going to come along.icanicant wrote:^harsh

there is possibly an element of that. I would love to see Federer at his best play djokovic now.skimpi wrote:How do you know that its not as time goes on, the better ones get worse? 6 Hours of tennis
Awards were a joke with the sponsors going on and on, and the players nearly fainting.

Nah Federer will arguably always be the best player (since Fred Perry) - shot selection, actual stroke technique, not the typical power-based approach dominating the male game to the point of boredom.
Obviously age is a big factor in tennis and Federer is inevitably waining, subsequently as Djokovic is improving.
Both players have an unbelievably humbled demeanour and it is clear how much the sport means to them, through their dedication to INTENSE training programmes; both incredible players, but for me, consistency-wise, Federer edges it.
