what?
are you trying to start an argument here???
I own Reaper and I`ve used both Logic and Cubase
But yet I still choose Reaper, I must not care.

Not even man. OP clearly doesn't know all DAWs are the same, so i gave him information i thought would help his ignorant ass. I was saying Reaper is for people who don't care about "looking" professional, if you get my drift. Like, you're not using Bro tools, cause you don't care about brands and all that. :w:

No. Try all the DAWs you can, and use the one that works best for you. I for one couldn't use FL for shit, but understood Ableton after just a few days of using it.

This. If you're not in it for the long haul, spend that £300+ on beer like a sensible person.

The more intuitive packages out there to my mind are Reason, FL Studio and Ableton. But they're intuitive in very different ways - I, for one, never got a usable note out of Ableton. Download lots of demos, and whichever one has you merely screaming at the monitor on your first try rather than putting your fist through it is probably a keeper. The most important production techniques as far as making decent tunes goes are common in their key respects to all DAWs, and more or less equally fiddly and irritating across the board. :-)

Top end things like Logic and Cubase have a much more complicated architecture that is supposed to be quite as adept at recording a full band as laying out a half-step drum-beat, with the result that the latter is correspondingly more of a pain in the ass. If you put the time in, however, you will obviously have more artistic options at the end of the day.

It honestly doesn't matter which one you pick, because they are all going to be equally annoying to learn at first. You also don't want to be jumping from one DAW to the next because even if you know Logic, that doesn't mean you'll be able to use Ableton. They all require learning. The sad part about the whole thing though, is that you don't really know what you want until after you've already been using one for about a year.

Thankfully I started with FL and for the most part I'm quite happy with it, and the price I paid for it. With the free updates for life I also get to enjoy all the new releases without having to fork out an upgrade fee which can get insanely expensive. It has it's downsides like any other program does, but the company is quite productive and they do pay attention to their users so it's gotten a lot better over the years.

For a new producer I think I would personally have to suggest reaper just because of the price. One of the best things about reaper is you can pay 60 bucks to go through the frustrating learning process rather than say...300. if you should ever come to a point where you think you could really do better with a different program, well you're only out 60 bucks rather than the few hundred or more that you would pay for some of the others. Not to mention it's a fully functional DAW with pretty much all the same features the others offer.

Demo everything you can until you feel confident on your ability to use whichever DAW you decide to purchase. Nobody wants to end up with a ~$400 paperweight.

None. You seem like a tnuc, and there are enough stnuc in music as it is.

Srsly, this is the guy that rips a bunch of tunes off other people and then uploads them to his own channel and calls them his own.

fuck off.

My vote goes to Logic or Ableton! Just depends on what you find better!

FL studio is definitely good, however, i just prefer logleton

Wow. Thanks for pointing that out, lol. Just listened to a couple of "his" tunes and LOL.

Kid, how do you expect anybody to believe you made those tunes if you don't even have a DAW yet? Plus, any google or youtube search of the track name will bring up the original track, not your ripped copy of it. You oughtta be arrested for that.
...in my opinion
