I'm sure it was Picasso, but it's a fucking ludicrous quote regardless. It should read 'Average artists copy, great artist are inspired'

man they have all done it, including andrew weatherall, the klf, blah blah blah, the more u delve in history the more u find that the artists that have reigned at the top have resorted to tryign to get away with a sample, its almost standard nowadays to expect it, although this is a little bit more then a sample, so obviously the hatred is jsutified- but still a bit over the top.

totally, i have no idea why a guy called gerald was so pissed off back in the day when 808 state put out tunes he'd worked on as their own without crediting him. it's all a bit over the top. or as zomby would put it, it's minor.

1) How is bigging up one of the most significant founding artists in the genre acting high and mighty?
2) Plastician has done more for the scene than Zomby ever will and actually was there albeit fairly minorly since the beginning.
3) Your thoughts on Japan aside (boring's not an adjective I've ever heard used for it though), if you think his contribution to the scene is solely that tune you need to do your fucking homework.

Sorry, what I meant was he has played a part in the scene since the beginning but at the beginning it was fairly minor as he was mostly focused on grime still. It didn't take long for him to become more involved though.

Zomby isn't exactly a team player.
Where as Plastic Man chose to represent Dubstep DMA style.

not placing blame or anything, it's just a sign of the times...

If you're talking about how he left the forum how is that even relevant to this thread? I assumed you were refering to Zomby's comment on Plastician's status on twitter about Horsepower.

Plastician was acting high and mighty and his sets have been too shit for too long for me to even care that hes spat his dummy out and gone. Guaranteed he still has a lurker account anyway.
