@CrewCutz Bro thats a sweet intro, where is it from? One thing I'd change is the transition from the intro (I'm not sure what reverse/cymbal you used before it, but you could try using a different one that isn't so subtle), also to me it seems like its missing that boom factor (maybe i've just listened to too much brostep). Otherwise its good, quite original bass you've got in it as well.
@Gaol Sick track bro! I want to see this one when its finished! Some interesting things going on in the second half of the track, and yes I would advice getting a different kick sample as your main one in the stacking for this track. I see the kick being very powerful and punchy, if you need any I've got plenty of packs lying around on my desktop that I've purchased. And yes distortion would do wonders, if you aren't sure on how to use it then you should maybe look into dada life's sausage fattener (basically the easiest way to get distortion and color into your bass).
@Dubmikey Haha wow man, that intro is sick evil sounding! Track has very well planned out bass movement and flows well... Don't really know what I'd improve on (maybe make the kick a bit more punchy and give the snare a bit more power, but just a little bit).

@someone: all the sounds in the intro adhere really nicely. I'd rework the drum fill from :55-:57. Nice drop, but its light on the subbass.
@acidrat: Coool intro, some bleeps and bloops might make it groove even harder. The kick overpowers the bass, but I really dig the grittiness of the synth.. oo and that high pitched noise at 1:30 onwards is awesome! :D
@crewcutz: Very full feel to the voice in the intro :W: Drop comes out of nowhere, tho. The rev cymbal should lead into the drop without the space in between, or perhaps add some elements to make it transition smoother. Bass is pretty sweet, tho. Maybe accompany it with some pads?

Was bored so I started digging through old FL9 projects and found this from over a year ago.. Fixed some things up and made a wip of it.

@hysterics - imo the synth in the very beginning is a bit too bright and distracts the ears. I really like your main drop. I think the bass kick has a deep old school feel that adds considerably to the song. I also feel that the last pattern you arranged feels a bit out of place or needs a better transition.
Dubstep ftw. Check out Cyberoptics if you haven't already. Hooky also.

@Someone - The sounds in your wip all sound good to my ears, but there is a lack of depth to how they are arranged. Plus, I noticed you raised the volume of your instruments for your first drop - it is a bit too noticeable.
I like the vocals. They fit in very nicely.

@hysterics- try to leave other people feedback. work on mixing down your track a little, alot of harsh frequencies in there. you have the rhythm down but work on sound design and mixing a bit.

@MassAphekt-Nice tune bro! If anything I'd say mix down your track a bit, bring them badass drums out of the track. Keep up the good work man! :W:

@Eatbass- MAybe work on mixing up the drums a bit. that swing is dope and a head nodder for sure but add some snares on the down beats for some of dat riddum. dont do the same pattern over n over i guess. keep the up the good work brudda

Here is my latest tune. Gonna finish this one, going to work all month on it.

@Hysterics
The overall sound seems a bit distorted, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think it can be cleaned up a bit, but Its not bad. A bit short to judge tho.

@Crow Steppa
I would personally reduce a bit of the reverb on the track, but the sound is okay =). The drop is a bit sudden, but I know how hard the drop can be to get right (mine usually suck). But the synths are good and bangin'. Keep it up! Can't wait to hear the full track.

@CrewCuts
Very creative! Definitely like it a lot. Smart usage of delay here mate. Drums are spot on as well. Btw is that cough from Left 4 Dead? =D

Another work in progress from me. It's somewhat different from my other work. A lot dryer and with minimal reverb on the drums and synths. Hope you guys like it so far.

@crewcutz (zomstep-vip): Cool intro, nice idea with the speech :D I think his vocals could be a bit louder tho, cuz I turned up my computer, but when it drop i muted it as fast as I could, it was too loud compared to the intro. Sick bass melody (after i turned it back down :) sub could be an octave lower, not really feeling its power yet :P Really liking all the incidentals and stuff, hick is sick, keep it up!
@basebass: not a big fan of the intro,its not bad but it could use some work like parallel melodies, pads and more actions and stuff :P, but the drop is AMAZING! like crew said, super potential! kick is sick, snare needs a little bit more on the high end i think, also drop could use with a bit more sub i think. haha, I still cant get over that drop! its just so perfect :')
@crowsteppa: I love this intro! great work on it man! its really awesome. For the drop, that first wobble that hits, the fast one, could use a bit more texture i think. maybe try running a granulizer over it a couple of times at like 2% d/w each time, or distorting it and saturating it more. Sick structure, I really like the peaceful part u added in around :42. Cant wait to hear the full!

heres my wip, Ièm not worried much on the mixdown yet, or the arrangement. Mostly concerned about that reese, its the first time I'm using a reese in a song, and Id really appreciate4 any tips on how to improve it. Thanks!

Crewcutz try to make intro a bit louder, t has sooooo nice melody in background. do a bit stronger buildup, and there is a little gap between reversed ride and first kick.

basebass nice song, but it sounds like with high pass filter compared to other songs do you use monitors, or just normal pc speakers? this happend to me before I bought ones.

Crow steppa very interesting drop, some unique sounds, just I think that something is not right with sound at 0:59 sounds like mod osc is one tone lower than it is supposed to be.

hysteric leave some feedback. but song sounds nice

Soundcloud

it is more Drum n bass/Drumstep but it is very close to Dubstep. can anyone help me with the first creepy sound that is supposed to sound like xfiles? because now it sounds really lame.

dj cappa sry, I forgot you. reese is good, it is hard to make good one. but make intro better, compared to drop, it is nothing. maybe if you add there 1/16 gate, it will sound good

Everyone thanks a lot for the feedback! I will probable make a better intro, because the drop deserves it.

Do you mean a high pass filter on the master channel? I am indeed not using monitors. Just 4 speakers and a sub.

Hey guys I used to come here often in the past and I will give feedback as soon as I have more time but I'm going to go study, can you tell me what you think of this track I just whipped up?

I haven't produced in months and this was my effort of the course of 2 hours last night.

Soundcloud

I haven't really put any subbass or any shit into it yet and I think the 4/4 part is annoying but tell me what you think.
