Drug Question/General Drug Thread

Does anyone else's parents know they take drugs? Im pretty sure mine know & are cool about it. They both smoke a bit of weed & can be partial to a baloon themselves.

On the subject if they dont know & found out what do you think they would say?

I told my mum I smoke weed on the odd occasion, she laughed. For a bit too long, she did it as a teen, so I'm cool. I'm sure my dad would go apeshit if he was to find out though

Yesterday, I took 80mg vyvanse and smoked two bowls before school.
Had probably the best school day I've had this year.

Just be smart. It's a slippery slope. I'm only 18 myself and have been experimenting with drugs since i was 13. I always considered myself to be responsible and would always research everything before I tried it. A lot more than you seem to infact haha(Try erowid.org btw rather than DSF). Looking back though I made a few stupid choices. I'm totally over everything but weed now and I'm 18. I wish I would have waited. I feel like I would have had a lot more fun doing it now that i'm older and have more freedom. I have no urge too though and end up watching all my friends tripping and having a good time haha. Just don't take it to far and be smart. I know your curious but just think how much more time you have to experiment. Just my 2cents. Hopefully you'll take something from that...

I do appreciate that, and yes, I do other research, 'specially on erowid. I just like to ask various questions on here because the answers are more specific to what I am inquiring about. I understand that moderation is key, and other than psychedelics, this is the farthest I will go illegal substance-wise. I'm not going to lie to you, I'll probably take vyvanse/adderall again like once or twice, but I don't think that I can just do it everyday and everything will be peaches.

Yeah not a big deal to take vyvanse/adderall every once and a while it's just when people use them to get work done and get through school that they start getting addicted. Also remember it's nearly synthetic meth and you can get nasty withdrawals quickly. Thats why I never touched them.

would you say just like taking it and hanging out with a few friends at home would be fun?
i've only really heard about it being taken at raves, shows, clubs, etc., but i'm sure it would be a great time in most environments.

yeah that can still be fun, maybe not as good as being at a rave, but it will still be fun. If your in the US, look for something called "molly" thats as pure as it gets. I think I might be getting some today. Just be careful not to make a habit of doing it too much, and you will be fine.

It's great. You might find you all want to turn the stereo on and have a dance, but it can be a really nice staying in drug... it's a social drug though, definitely.

It's honestly the best experience my brain has ever had that wasn't LSD... and LSD is a few-times-in-a-life drug if you don't want to end up crafting hats from your Mum's tin foil... MDMA you could do once a month for the rest of your days and probably* be fine.

All of the alternatives manage to get certain elements of it right, but it *never* feels the same. I hate to sound like a hippy, but there's a spirituality to the MDMA experience... I'm absolutely not religious, but MDMA made me understand why people are... I have a sneaking suspicion that 'religious experiences' brought on by immense faith and meditation probably boil down to similar behaviours in the brain as the combination of MDMA, music and friends/strangers/people.

Not disagreeing with you that it's got a spiritual side to it but in honesty certain psychedelics have a greater spiritual side to them in my opinion.

@OP: in theory it's best to take any drug you've not tried before in a setting you're familiar with along with people you know well. In practice on MDMA though this will likely go flying out the window when you take it. Just make sure you start on a reasonable dose and you'll be fine.
