Holy fuck that was painful to listen to with headphones... can't imagine why you'd wanna hear that on a club system

I have never heard of this bloke but a quick visit to discogs learned me that he was:

A) on the new KoRn record
B) Has had only three releases, none of which saw vinyl
C) He's released on only hideous, I mean truly hideous labels that have not so far released any tune remotely worth purchasing.
D) Has only released one album under this alias, under the critically acclaimed (yes that's sarcastic) OWSLA label.

I mean, certainly, it sounds like it was one of the shittiest sets imaginable, but manage your expectations? By the way, from what I can hear, his album should have been a giveaway and frankly I'm a bit surprised at how you didn't like the set, but did like his album?
 This so much. If brostep is your thing, I honestly don't know how you can complain about any given set seeing as it's all the same shit.

Koan Sound's "funk blaster" EP was actually pretty good i thought (apart from the kill the noise remix on there haha)

im not saying everyone who has a negative opinion is a hater, obviously there wouldnt be a discussion without them. Im just saying whats the point of constantly hating on mainstream artists i feel like thats a trend on here and im trying to understand why. most of them are mainstream for a reason. its like listening to really obscure dubstep makes you have a more refined and cultured music taste.

No one said anything resembling that in any way. Keep pretending you're "above it all".

While DSF is a 1337 club of tru steppaz, I feel like the crew here does a good job of representing the full spectrum of the scene - not just the deep and dark. While that is my preferred style, I also love Jakes, Kromestar's tearout, 16Bit, Flux, some Doctor P, Roksonix, Hizzleguy, etc.

So forget the "hater" talk, it's just that you can't be disappointed in someone when they play music that is along the same lines as the style / fanbase he caters to. If I went to go see Youngsta and he played Ruffhouse VIP, Hunted, Badman VIP, Midnight, Crack Bong RMX, etc. it would be what I expected because it's A)tunes he's known for and B)what his audience wants to hear - never mind my preference for the latter.

Honestly, most of these 'brostep' artists featured on these MIDI controller DJ's sets are more obscure than any of the tunes I play...
