no they're not
so, what you're ACTUALLY saying is:

"i'm not."

as i said. "I (as in ME, MYSELF, MY OPINION) get the impression that..."

i'm allowed to speak from my experience, thanks though.

edit: good job cutting out where i said it was my opinion. prove more that you're butt hurt, please.

why would they be annoyed about dubstep blowing up in America- as i said its more the bastardisation of the genre in America or elsewhere that I and through the perusal of this forum many others find irritating (and to be honest i dont even find it that irritating anymore).

i can agree with that

Haha this entire argument is so funny, it's reoccured in different forms a countless amount of times.

In this case, I'd have to side with hutyluty - it's not that the UK heads are pisses about America exploring the genre (and I am saying this as an American), it's more that a lot of people are upset at the complete change in the music's philosophy and the ignorance of a lot of its listeners. Granted, a lot of the upset people are from the UK, but that's because they're the original fans of the original genre.

coming from someone who also dislikes where the genre has gone and agrees with your PERSONAL opinion:

welcome to music.

just because the culture, history and philosophy is important to you - does not mean that it should be, or is, important to anyone else. you have your taste, they have theirs.

what you all seem to be arguing is that since you listened to it before other people, and because you care about the culture, history, and philosphy - that everyone else should too (coughipster).

i'm not arguing against any of your opinions on the culture - i'm merely saying that the general public is stupid and will never care as much as you do about art/music. so losing sleep over this fact is not only completely pointless, it's narcissistic.

same thing happened to rock music after the beatles and other legends, same thing happened to metal and hiphop. in fact, dubstep is merely a bastardization of another genre before it - so complaining that dubstep itself is becoming bastardized is.. just weird to me.

i wasn't trying to come down on brits... i've wanted to move to london since i was like 13.. and i'm 25 now.

i'm just saying that it wasn't until dubstep became mainstream in america that SO MUCH HATE started pouring in.
