Hi guys
Sorry if this seems rather off topic, but wasn't sure where to put it and it would be great if it gets great exposure.
To keep it brief:
I'm designing (University Project*) a new centre for electronic music in Dalston, London, over 500m2 and looking into what facilities the (electronic) music community think is in dire need within Greater Hackney area?
The space is a cultural and educational institution open to the public that also offers learning opportunities/apprenticeships/workshops and currently thinking of having these main functions:
- recording studio w/ live room
- mastering studio
- DAW/digital production suites
- exhibition space showcasing milestones and emerging talent (think interactive sound installations)
- bar/cafe/multi-use space for club nights
- terrace/mezzanine level seating
- toilets (obviously...)
Proposal to be run in partnership with SAE Music Institute, Rinse.FM & Red Bull Music Academy.
Full proposal can be seen here: http://www.carloviscione.com/index.php? ... esign/cem/
Any feedback much appreciated, would be great to meet up as well as in round table discussion for the space.
Mods, feel free to move wherever you think this should be!

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Sounds interesting... just make sure you have a decent dancefloor and sound because otherwise it'll just end up as dead space
