Mzekezeke was really big when i lived in south africa every morning for 6 months the taxis drove past playing an Mzekezeke track caled Guqangama Dolo, this album has a lot of tracks on it which give a bit of an insight into that whole scene:
http://talesofurbansa.calabashmusic.com/
That site has a shit load of music from africa which you can browse through but i dont really know much about other african countrys music scenes.
Apart from that Felix Laband is pretty good for electronica his album darks days exit is well worth a listen.

I can't wait until theres a lot more electronic music coming out of Africa. African beats are like the roots of mankind.
A full report on smashing over there on your return please!

cool.
I have just chatted to friends from Kenya, Somalia, South Africa and they seemed to suggest any form of electronic dance music was hard to find and not that great.
can you suggest any particular african electronic dance music producers who are based in an african scene?
