Good audio interface w/ laptop setup? Not same as other posts

Post by EFEKZ » Sat Feb 11, 2012 3:10 pm

Whats good everybody....I just purchased my dream speakers (Adam Audio A8X) and i don't currently have an audio interface...I currently have the M-Audio BX8a's and just run TRS to 1/8 inch into the line input on my laptop...I really want a good interface to connect the Adam's to, but have been searching endlessly on the internet, and am starting to get confused on what to get...I have USB 3.0 on my laptop, so that was my first choice as a connection(because of speed), but i guess they haven't come out with the hardware to support that yet (not that i can find). I also have USB 2.0 of course, and another eSATA port...Can you guys give me a few suggestions? I'd Like to stay under or as close to $500 as possible, but i also would like to connect my speakers with XLR's...Thanks in Advanced!

yea...i know...unfortunately they are not looking for the same thing i am...most of those post are concerning people lookin for cheaper configurations with different options....i am exclusively looking for XLR outputs(Inputs not important), and was wondering what would be the best interface to use considering my input options on my cpu....not really the same as the other posts.....thanks anyway though

Does anyone have the RME Babyface? Anybody who can comment on its performance?
