Re: Burial - Kindred
he definitely peaked on 'Untrue'. none of the material after that has come close. something changed after 'Untrue'. it all just sounds like fairly standard, albeit very well produced, "deep" garage now.
'loner' is alright though

Nope, these clips can be none other than Burial.Azureless wrote:same fake 4 tracks that was "leaked/posted" weeks back, isn't it?Dub_freak wrote:Found a link for it on mediafire... will see if its legitvishes wrote:Someone on aim just told me that it got leaked...

Re: Burial - Kindred
Probably cos he got famous and has to be careful using samples now. That's why everything is so bent and unintelligible now, cos he pitch shifts them to oblivion to avoid getting caught out on them. Don't expect any more "clean" aaliyah, beyonce or ray j samples, which lets face it... made up the best tracks on Untrue, at least for me.Motorway to Roswell wrote:something changed after 'Untrue'
Anyway just heard the leak for Kindred and it sounds like a thousand ideas stitched together, forming tunes without any real coherence. Loner in particular is very, very rough. Maybe they'll grow, but it's sounding like the weakest Burial release so far imo.

Re: Burial - Kindred
some guys got the tunes up on youtube, not really liking them. ashtray wasp sounds completely different from the rinse rip.

sounds like plantation slaves to me
If this is the future, it seems highly livable: shiny, cool and comfortably dissonant. Like a low dose of ketamine in an empty, luminous airport hall in northern Japan, eating avocado and waiting for the universe to arrive.

Very unexpected. 'Loner' is good atleast.
I expected something very different to be honest, especially from Ashtray Wasp', I'll just take 9.23 - the end and loop it a few times and I got my dream tune.

Re: Burial - Kindred
don't mean to be rude or anything and always been a fan of burial, it's either he's trying something 'new'/'different' or the imitators finally learn to filter the highs tastefully. whatever it is, i really want to know, it's killing me.
Re: Burial - Kindred
Sorry that I didn't read thru the 33 pages of posts, but have we for an official release date yet??!!! I'm a huge Burial fan
