"system sound for system people" "you have to feeeeeeeel it" SYSTEM SYSTEM
SYSTEMSYSTEM
i could feel the bass pressure in my knees and then this man vivek pops up on the mic and goes "and beware, the system is only at quarter power"

the night felt like a line drawn in sand and the page was turned on to a new chapter in the sound. Some tunes they played imo sounded like nothing i'd ever heard (especially one of the vivek vips (i think thats what it was))
oh and speaking of vivek vips.....vivek=automatic wreck the dance affair...
outs to mala, vivek, youngsta, quest, chef, harry craze, kahn and all the other mandem that came down to help make the night as special as it was. The crowd was vibez

oh and if there was ever a tracklist i needed in my life it was last nights

I hope that this night will touch down in Amsterdam some day. We've already had DMZ & Deep Medi nights, so who knows ?

landed about 2.15 am after finishing playing in Cambridge to Mala and V.I.V.E.K back to back... beautiful.. Miracles, Changes Remix, Unborn, Mountain Dread March and so many more tunes all got the eyes closed gunfinger.. fucking gutted i couldn't be there from the start
Tunes, system, vibes... it was like the good old days.. DMZ circa 06..zoots on the dancefloor helped the nostalgic vibe
quite a fan of the venue, reminded me of West Indian Centre a bit.. looking forward to more nights there.. it felt right for the vibe.
out to the lights on crew

New York City is ready for this. the SYSTEM sounds have a collective wanting to go off on the weight.
I hope this happens soon here.

Second that.
Don't know how they would go about doing that though. I mean, it's a bit hard to ship an entire sound system... Or how would that work?

True, but I would already be happy if I could just see Mala and VIVEK play dubplates and classics in a dark room all night long. That King Shiloh soundsystem we got in Amsterdam could deliver some serious weight for that. Gutted that I can't make it to DMZ at 5 days off still...

i don't think i will ever say "oh my jesus" or laughily say "what the fuck" ever again as much as i did last night...
like someone previously mentioned, this sort of night has been absent for waaaaay too long, i love the fact that (i think) vivek said "this is for PROPER dubstep" toward the start of the night
it felt special... more so than just a "good rave" if you know what i mean?
was more than loving the fact that mountain dread march got played aswell > but anyone know the mystical tune that was on before it? i'm guessing its mala, silkie or quest maybe? it was quite dark but had some proper entrancing sounds in it...
best night in ages - untill next time!

Apart from two or three trips to the bar, I didn't leave the dancefloor once last night. Fucking amazing.
Everyone was so beautiful out there... smiles everywhere, sharing drinks and smokes... strangers hugging... respecting each other's dancing space, but forming like fucking Voltron into some giant organism radiating bass-soaked positivity. Magnificent.
This is raving. MORE.

Proper oldschool vibes - sound, music, people, atmosphere AND MINIMAL LIGHTING. Everyone was sooooooo happy, chilled and smiling!
The soundsystem was sick, so crisp and weighty! Hilarious though when one of the speakers came loose and shifted itself out during 1 tune, and we couldn't quite push it back in

It sounded proper. Wished I was there.

 Fuck living in California!
I would like to wish System here in LA/Socal too. We aren't getting anything anymore. It used to be good in 08/09.
