Youre going to choose a synth based on youtube vids?

Ok...

That's not what I said exactly.... But I've not been blown away by their demos at NAM (from what I saw), or the sound examples of it on their website (and that's supposed to be showcasing the product). :(

I do wish they had a larger variety of sound examples for us to hear. I was watching one of the videos and the guy selling it was turning out this horrible resonant distortion noise and saying something like "and you can just make this crazy noise...which is just....AWESOME" and I wanted to slap him through my computer screen and be like "show me something useful, jerk." I'm sure more examples/videos will be popping up in the next two months, though.

Just preordered mine! Now it's just a waiting game...and figuring out where I'm gonna put it!

dunno how i' missed this-- pre-ordered one the day it was announced for sale; should be here next month. was toying w/ the idea of a slim phatty for a while, but this has a better interface and i'm actually totally pro-not-saving-patches. save the midi notes at the bottom of your session, and just record and tweak-- great for the workflow.

will report back once it arrives--

Yeah I was kinda surprised that so many people were upset about not being able to save patches. I LOVE the fact that every parameter has a control and that there's no menus, and I feel like it's simple enough that you're not really gonna need to save patches...I'm no synth genius, but I feel like I could recreate stuff fairly easily with a small amount of effort.

Anyway, let us know how you like it; I'm getting mine shipped to a friend's place, who is then going to ship it halfway across the world to me, so I'm probably not going to get it until sometime in May...

When they announced it, it was supposed to ship in feb... now I think first shipment to states is in april. I'm still supposed to get one off the first shipment, but I was the very last one... was leaving messages all weekend, and only got through to my guy on monday :( I reallly really want to see this thing arrive...

Might have to pick me up one of these, the knobs look a bit bunched together though. Thanks for the heads up.

Ah no worries mate...I just really wanted this thing to be the 'fat' bastard I wanted. I just haven't been blown away by some of the dubious demos out so far. Hopefully, someone will put up something really good out soon and blow us all away. :)

Rob.

I'm pretty sure it was always April? They announced it at NAMM, and all of the videos that came from that said April. Maybe I was just slow on that.

No idea how many they're shipping in the first shipment(s) or where I am in the queue...guess it depends how many preorders there are at the particular store I ordered from. But I want it NOOOOOW :corncry:
