BASSIC is bringing the business starting this spring with 2 of the biggest names in bass music since who knows when! We're extremely excited to welcome back the one and only Scuba (aka SCB, aka Paul Rose), but that's not all, we've stepped up the game and brought along Boddika (one half of Instra:mental) to make this one hell of night you won't want to miss.

Scuba (!K7, Hotflush, ABUCS)
Scuba aka Paul Rose founded the now legendary Hotflush Recordings back in 2003 and has never looked back. Since the early years and formulation of Dubstep, Paul played a key role in the definition of the sound - with a number of releases on Hotflush, Soul Jazz, ABUCS, and many other labels. His fresh and innovative production has lead him to blur the lines between all genres. The same can be said for the influential Hotflush Recordings. The Hotflush label has been a creative incubator for some of the most original and forward-thinking producers in dubstep including the likes of Distance, Joy Orbison, Mount Kimbie, Pangaea, Loefah, Toasty, Slaughter Mob, Vaccine, Gravious, Marlow, Boxcutter and Jazzsteppa. Hotflush - along with Paul Rose’s other imprints - Abucs, Scuba and HF2 - can always be relied on to push the dubstep sound in new and exciting directions. With his latest full-length album “Triangulation”, topping charts all over the world, and already being hailed as a masterwork, Scuba’s record bag will be bursting with exclusive dubs of uncompromising caliber.

Boddika (SWAMP81, Naked Lunch, SUNkLo)
With electronic music becoming more polished and quantized, Boddika’s arrival has shaken the scene to its very core, slamming down with a raw take on things that’s making all journalists scramble for the right genre tag. Is it electro? Techno? Old? New? Harking the expansive sounds of Luke Vibert, the analogue programming of Juan Atkins early work and the rawness of the Drexciya/Dopplereffekt family, Boddika is the newest project of Al Green - half of the boundary-pushing duo that’s re-written the rules completely, Instra:mental. As DJs across the board – including Skream, Loefah, Oneman, Stingray, Martyn, Ramadanman, Joy Orbison, Scuba, Shy FX, Benji B, Addison Groove and Zed Bias – began dropping his tracks, leagues of hungry listeners began demanding to know who Boddika was.

C Dubz (BASSIC, La Folia, SubFM)
One of the founder's behind Boston's longest running and original Bass heavy night, C Dubz aka Chris Ward is no stranger to making subs bump. He's not about fancy tricks or extravagant setups so expect nothing but a heavy bag of vinyl, dubplates, and some serious turntable skills.
