lazy comeback is lazy... its possible to dislike a tune without being jealous of the dude who created it

The tune is both poorly written and poorly produced. It sounds like absolute shite. The mixdown is crap. The wobble sound is really terrible too. Sounds like it was put together in about 20 minutes by someone who doesn't produced dubstep and was asked to do it solely for this video.
Well its my opinion that you don't really understand what a "mixdown" is, or the idea of aesthetic relativism. The NFL is not exactly about to play the dark, eccentric Distance tune you reference (which is decent but you coulda picked a much more impressive example) for their Super Bowl promo -- it just wouldn't strike the core demographic they were going for, and it doesn't have an anthemic feel to it.

Your criticism of the wobble is your own personal taste, backed by no reasoning in particular.

I think you're just jealous that this was one of this artists first attempts at producing a dubstep tune, and they did quite a decent job. Having a difficult morning, are we?
I think that you have no fucking clue what you're talking about.

I do know a fair amount about production and sound engineering if I'm honest (not trying to sound like a dickhead) as I'm in my third year of a degree in sound and music technology (with the first two years being titled specifically sound and music production)where I've been at getting some of the highest grades on my assignments in my year.

and yeah of course I'm jealous that I'm not doing half arsed tunes that sound like shit on my first attempt and churning them out for lame American Football adverts and sounding like a spastic to anyone who actually knows anything about dubstep.

Also if my criticism of the wobble sound (again I'm writing my dissertation piece on synthesis methods at the time of this post) is purely just my taste then in that case I'm going to fart down a drain pipe and upload it to soundcloud and tell everyone that criticises it that they're just jealous and have no reason to say that it's shit other than taste.

Yes but without any attempt to justify one's own opinion, they just end up sound like a jealous hater.

"Proper flaccid tune" - wow, talk about breaking through the barriers of laziness with that one.

This tune is blatantly by your mate or something. I mean come on. You think people are jealous just because they think a tune is bad? So every time I don't buy a record I'm clearly jealous of whoever made it (not that this tune will ever see a release on vinyl I'm guessing as it's a pile of wank)

what exactly is so horrible about videos where young athletes do incredible stunts on skateboards, and creative shooting/editing is coupled with terrific music ?

i dun give a fuck who thinks i'm 14... good videos are good videos. six timescale shots of a building lighting up isn't exactly eye candy.
also the tune just sucked

Oh, you're right. I failed to look at it from that perspective. My opinion has totally changed now that I've taken your logic and rationale into consideration. I can clearly see that I've been the negative one full of bad vibes this whole time and you guys have been right and full of positivity. Rock on, brothers. After all, we are all fuckin' one, right Frac?

Why do you have to pee on me everywhere I go? Who do you think you are, R Kelly?

As a neuroscience graduate student I've read hundreds of scientific articles in my day, and they all make an infinite more amount of sense than Sonic Warfare. For the first one who PMs me, I'll sell you my copy (in pristine condition, I only got halfway through) for $10, plus $5 shipping and handling.

And Fractal if you delete this comment... well thats just abuse of your authority.

I enjoy the taste of men.
