Re: Office Steppers
Oh ok, well if you have used it, any tips on doing a basic, first master?
ive read the guide and watched some tuts, but figured some first hand feedback would be good

I don't run that one

Re: Office Steppers
Would recommend same thing I always do in any mastering case.
Roll off near 18000-20000kHz on high and like 16-20Hz low.
Try for subtractive EQ'ing if necessary unless there's something hidden you want to really bring out in the mix.
If possible, get the mixdown as best as possible before entering Mastering stage.
Give yourself decent amount of headroom. ( 6dB be lovely )
Be gentle with compression, if you treat it nicely it'll love you in return.
Lastly be careful with your Limiter, don't want to lose dynamic in your audio!
Been a while since I used Ozone but the principals usually remain the same for me. ( Even though some people may not agree with above statement)
EDIT: PM me an Soundcloud link and I'll try my best in the feedback department. (Not a guru either)

Yeah, starting my second full week back in the office. Feeling it a bit after the w/e though, could've done with an extra couple hours sleep this morning.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

Not usually for me, but I was up all night Saturday and then didn't want to sleep Sunday during the day as would mean I wouldn't get a decent nights kip last night, so ended up staying up all day Sunday as well...was in a kind of lucid state by the time I eventually went to sleep at like 11 last night.

Hah, not for Wub. Man leads an exemplary lifestyle. His bad morning is the next man's freshest startbrettheaslewood wrote:that's life nearly every monday, isn't it?wub wrote: could've done with an extra couple hours sleep this morning.

BTW, if you have an iPhone and like to make music, check out Nanostudio. I just took a 20 minute bathroom break here at work and laid down all the basics of a sick oldskool jungle choon whilst sitting on the john.
