i guarentee 99% of the people on this forum won't give a flying fuck about dubstep in 5 years.
for people to give a flying fuck in 5 years there still needs to be a good 140 scene...

Before you lot jump me on this can i make it clear that im in no way instigating that dubsteps gonna die out in the next few years, im just thinking will there be enough producers still doing it? One thing in particular that slightly alarmed me concerning this issue is the fact that kryptic minds said in an fb comment today that their new album will have no dubstep; and they're supposed to be one of the biggest dubstep names out there atm

then again, i guess there are still many new producers trying their hand at dubstep so 'sall good for now

If KM isn't doing dubstep, what ARE they doing? Are they returning to their dnb roots?

I don't blame them. that sound has been rinsed and they wouldn't be bringing anything new.

That minimal dnb has been rinsed far longer than that dubstep.

There's only one thing Kryptic Minds must do now and that's bring back old skool hardcore.

Yea, Kryptic need to add some real sticks to their productions

The snare in Organic was made by hitting a stick on a tree :W:

While that was a bit of a shock at first, I'm glad KM are moving on from dubstep. One of Us was great, but then everyone got on that sound and it got stale. I thought Can't Sleep was really unremarkable as a result.

Yup, and they also recorded themselves walking on leaves that day and put it in the intro for Organic!

Awesome masterclass :W:
