What are you guys' favorite samplers? I currently am using the ableton live sampler and really like the simplicity of everything, and it's layout!
Re: Sampler
Kontakt
Short Circuit is free and comparable http://vemberaudio.se/shortcircuit.php
Emulator X3, though it's pretty buggy. Shame what Creative did to EMU. RIP!

Re: Sampler
i use esx24. i like it.
to be honest i don't know who designed logics instruments but i hate the gui theme. the way they're laid out is good, i just hate the ugly futuristic theme. i wish they went for more of a hardware copy approach sort of like reason and other plugs.

Ableton's Simpler & Sampler.
Have downloaded Short Circuit but have yet to try it. I'm wanting Kontakt but I can't afford to spend on production right now... Some day!

Re: Sampler
If you're going for Kontakt but aren't buying Komplete, i'd recommend just getting Maschine/microMaschine
it's just a glorified Kontakt with a dedicated controller and sequencer
There are a few big features on Kontakt that set it apart but for guys like us, i'd go for Maschine
just food for thought
i believe the prices are comparable

Re: Sampler
I was actually looking into getting Maschine, but a few people told me to hold off for a while. I take it you love it? Has it improved your production/workflow much since using it?
