I don't get you... Are you saying that Kode9 co-produced some of Burial's tunes and also gave inspiration for Burial's Rinse FM dj sets and Burial's hyperdub blog??
He's saying that the show Kode9 used to have on Rinse and the Hyperdub blog that Kode9 used to write inspired Burial. And he's stating that Kode9 coproduced for Burial, which I doubt.

Giving it a first proper listen, interesting direction for Burial to go - as always, so emotive but with a bit more groove this time. I've always been anxious whenever there's new Burial because so many of my favourite musicians have crumbled in their later careers, but Burial continues to show there's interesting stuff left to do in the space he opened up. Pretty lengthy too, entirely abandoned anything remotely resembling traditional song structure. These are more like pieces than tracks.

Probably not gonna buy this right away - for the shitstorm that Burial releases cause, Street Halo is still in stock..
Gonna wait til the hype dies down and then re-evaluate my feelings towards it

Yeah probably..
Just got the be true remix on wax and might even get untrue aswell before this. or maybe his first album.. undecided. glad I got street halo though.. nyc/stolen dog are amazing - i just wish I had more tunes that I could mix with them (without putting it into 45 and doing some dodgy pitch shifted maneuvers.) :)

PS KODE 9 - PLEASE PRESS FOSTERCARE.

How many DAYZE till I'ma be playing the 12"? Pitchfork gave it a 8.7, "best new music", not always in agreement with P-Fork, but despite the awfully poorly written review, I'm happy to see music like Burial gets the recognition it deserves.

Also, there is a dsf user named Cappy who has HD001 Sign selling for 7 lbs.
I just don't know if I can trust a deal that good, seems far fetched, he could get like 40 lbs on Ebay for it.

the last paragraph wasn't that bad. got the point across that it has once again been made clear that we're dealing with a straight-up genius.

One of the reasons I love Burial is that he strives to be more than dance music, even if he's humble in explaining his music and inspiration. Just looking at his tastes (Husker Du to El-B) and his interviews, you can tell that he has an inherent feel and understanding of music as art, essay, and multifaceted vessel of expression. It really shines on this, esp on Ashtray Wasp. Like, I cannot get over how beautiful it is. And Loner is just so packed with history and the shadow of memories never made.

I liked the review. I didn't really find that it reeked of pretension the way a lot of their writing does. It made some good points about this EP feeling heavy and devastating, and how Kindred is just BIG and full of detail. I guess the writing does tend to ramble on and use adjectives very liberally, but on the whole I thought it was well enough written. I guess yeah, it does have a bit of grandeur now that I re-read it, but whatever. Last paragraph was great.
