Re: Favorite Headphones?
Absolutely love my HD-25s... Hands down the most solid headphones I've ever owned, listened to, worn, etc. I can't imagine a much better headphone, honestly.

Re: Favorite Headphones?
I love my HD518s but they are a bit big for wearing out and because of the openback design they are better for home listening and producing. One of these days when I get some money again I'm going to invest in some HD25s heard alot of good things about them.

Re: Favorite Headphones?
I'd say the ATH-M50s - I've just bought some Sennheiser HD600s but they're a bit more.

For the price ($30), I don't know if there exists a better pair of headphones. The bass is punchy as all hell.

This thread had been done to death, at the end of the day:
Top end: Senheisser HD25-II's
Mid end: Sony MDR-V700DJ
...but that's primarily for djing, if theyre just for listening or producing I think its dependant on taste/comfort

I've done a ton of research, trust me Denon AH-D2000 / 5000 are the headphones you are looking for.

edit: i cant get over how all the parts in an hd25 are replace-able. if i buy a set of expensive phones i want them lasting at least 10 years, id be using these for listening at school as well. do you think the m50's would be up to the task??

You can just replace the cable on the HD25's, you can buy them off Sennheiser's website
