Audio Interface

Post by billy crystal meth » Wed Feb 22, 2012 3:48 pm

Howdy,

I own an audio interface that's over 10 years old (MAudio Delta)... I have been reading that the old interfaces has lower quality DACS that could impede the sound quality of your music.

I have been having issues where I feel there is something off about my mixes especially when it comes to the snare snapping and the kik being punchy... even when i import pro kicks from Sample CDs.

Can anyone advise if they think that an old ass interface might have something to do with this?

Thanks,

How does music sound through the interface normally, aside from production?
It might just be the samples themselves.

music sounds fine as far as I can tell.

The samples are top notch. even when I import lets say 2 pro drum loops and cut them up with eachother it seems like somehow there is clarity lost.

The kick just wont bump in the bass frequency... even if i cut everything else below 150 and notch the bass where the kick is peaking.
