Favourite Metal band?

The Faceless. Micheal Keene brings a jazzy taste to tech death. But, as far as best band i saw live? Either Veil of Maya, or Cannibal Corpse. Veil of Maya brought the heat, but Cannibal Copse was too fucking heavy.

the faceless and veil of maya are sick, last year they both toured here with born of osiris and i didnt go for some reason, still havent figured out why

Had the pleasure of sharing a stage with BTM and Despised Icon a couple of years ago when my old band opened for them, BTM are the tightest live band i've ever seen (it sucked that they where on directly after us, we got owned so hard haha) and despised icon just make me wanna smash stuff up and rampage about like godzilla

I feel like we've had this exact conversation before on a different thread. Haha. Beneath the Massacre's pit knocked me out. Haha. Although Dying Fetus was absurd afterwards. God, i haven't been to a metal show in too long.

Anything with Mike Patton in it, man is a genius!

Check out Cardiacs, Mike Patton is a huge fan of theirs, i think he tried to release some of their music in the US on his label but couldn't in the end because it wasn't "financially viable" hahahahaha (if you've ever heard cardiacs you'll understand why i find it funny that their music isn't "financially viable")

His label put this out so I'm not sure it's the crazyness of Cardiacs that would be the problem

Some of the bands posted are just amazing, I like almost all of them but so great to see bands like BTBAM and Despised Icon getting a mention. Seen them a few times each and caught Despised Icon at their last UK show, SO sick.

Black Dahlia Murder also up there for me, saw them in bristol the other week.

The one band I was hoping someone would have said though, Meshuggah.

Meshuggah have to be the most marmite band out there, So many of my friends have an identical taste in so many bands but they all hate Meshuggah.

I've never found a band to be so repetitive but at the same time so listenable, Catch 33 When I first heard it, repeated it like 3 times that night, just blew my mind. Just a different level in my opinion, sounds so simple but when you hear the very subtle changes in meter it just gets me every time.
