-----------------------------------------------------------------
THE ARTISTS

ICICLE
facebook
Headliner Icicle is widely recognised as one of the most technically advanced and highly respected producers in electronic music. Already a firmly established name on the DnB scene, (with releases on Shogun Audio, RAM, Soul:R, Renegade Hardware and Critical) Icicle's 140 bpm release 'Minimal Dub'/'Xlyophobia' saw him perform the same sidestep as Kryptic Minds and Breakage, exploding onto the dubstep scene. With his ambitious debut album 'Under the Ice' out last year and a brand new live show Icicle continues to push boundaries. Mr. Freeze's combination of driving, intricate drum patterns and enveloping bass lines should shake the floor beneath our feet. With hard-hitting tracks such as the mighty 'Dreadnaught' at the ready, Submit are ready for a big night.

BLU MAR TEN
facebook
Formed in the big-bang of 90′s drum & bass, Blu Mar Ten were rapidly spotted by LTJ Bukem and signed to Good Looking Records, cementing their position in the genre as originators of complex, atmospheric music. They quickly grew into lush experimentation with down-tempo, ambient, house, breaks, techno & left-field for labels such as Naked Music, Guidance, Big Chill, with two full albums of non-DnB material on Exceptional Records. Enjoying success with remixes of major artists, including Erykah Badu, Annie Lennox, Alicia Keys and Fink to name but a few. This in turn won over big support from Labels and DJs alike. With the release of their new album "Love is the Devil" arriving at the tail end of 2011, expect a polished and masterful live set from these highly respected veterans.

J:KENZO
facebook
J:Kenzo has been deeply infecting the dubstep scene since 2007 with his abrasive signature sound. Pressed on labels such as Tempa, Dub Police, Argon Records, 2nd Drop and also his very own imprint Artikal Music UK, J:Kenzo further penetrated the international dubstep scene when DJ Youngsta caught wind of his talent. His dedicated following has been soaring over the last year since his bass-driven release on Tempa, 'The Roteks / Protected', hit sound systems worldwide. Since then you will have found him smashing out tunes during his resident sets at Fabric and FWD, and on his recent bi-weekly show on BBC Radio 1xtra, 'Daily Dose of Dubstep'. Expect big things from this man in 2012!

SOAP DODGERSs
facebook
February's release 'Rachel Went South' (Wheel & Deal) has been a popular club banger at Ibiza, Rinse and FWD receiving support from Skream, Benga, N-Type, MistaJam and Dismantle. The duo focus on tough, precise beats and deliver technically brilliant DJ sets. An exciting addition to our line-up, come down and see why this pair is kicking up such a storm.

AMSEN
facebook
Amsen’s debut release on Totem Records has gone down a treat, already receiving airplay on BBC 1Xtra and being included on influential music blog 22tracks.com. His tracks are a melting pot of deep dub-influenced electronica, expect a heavy duty but atmospheric set. This slick and sophisticated producer promises to be one to watch for 2012.

VAIDER
facebook
Vaider's deep but punchy textures, demonstrated by his debut release ‘falling’ on Totem Records in January, certainly exhibits his mature sound. 'Falling' is an epic concoction of deep bass, warm pads and mesmerising vocals. His production craft is getting attention from the likes of DFRNT and the residents at Sub.fm and BBC Radio 1xtra. Expect a flawless mix of thumping rhythms from this young talent.

MARTIN KEMP
myspace
Martin Kemp, having been featured on the Mary Anne Hobbs show, steps in from the Blunted Robots factory to showcase his unique, haunting and percussive mutations of garage and UK funky. Playing regularly alongside the likes of funky gurus Brackles and Mickey Pearce (Shortstuff), his beats will roll out a swing Duke Ellington would be proud of!

KIMONI [LIVE]
soundcloud
This sonic craftsman has been developing his unique sound steadily over the last few years, over which he has been developing and perfecting some gold-plated unreleased material. But this spell is coming to an end with his debut EP 'Basalt / Multiplier' set to be released on Totem Records on March 19th! During this debut live performance, Kimoni will be showcasing and manipulating solely his own material. We at Submit are very excited about this one!

THE LOOSE CANNONS
facebook
Loose Cannons are real pros, playing sets of Bass heavy House/Electro which are so full of energy that "holding up the wall" is no option. Having played across the world from the casino rooftops of Vegas to the New Year's Crowds of the Australian Festivals, we're lucky to have Lord Fader and Kaiser Saucy in such an intimate space. According to Radio 1's Rob Da Bank Loose Cannons are "undoubtedly the finest party DJs this side of Mars and our Bestival after party DJs of choice".

QUANTUM LEAP
facebook
Quantum Leap led a group of top scientists into the desert to research his theory that a man could time travel within his own lifetime. Unfortunately, in order to save his funding, he was forced to enter the accelerator prematurely and vanished. He then found himself in someone else's body with partial amnesia.
His only contact to home is an MPC, a electronic device only he can see and hear. Setting songs right which once went wrong, Harrison Bamford leaps from beat to beat, hoping each time that this is the beat to take him home.

Big names... Big night!
