Finding balance is definitely hard right now, usually sneaking in whatever time i can in headphones late at night, but that cuts into my sleep sometimes pretty bad as it usually 6-7am mornings 7 days a week. After reading your experiences, I am hopeful it'll get easier as my daughter gets a bit older.
Music aside, I am very happy to report my sacrifices have so far resulted in a VERY happy and healthy daughter, which IS a very great feeling accomplishment. She does have a good papa to teach her, play with her, feed her full of love, information, good healthy foods and development activities all day, in a safe and clean environment.
Still, really tough still watching my potential career, gigs, as well as studio gear and turntables collect dust though while on hold most of the time... BUT I trust, I'm doing the right thing, and that the time will come soon where I'll have my quality personal time again to express my love fully to my first love ever... MUSIC.
Bless up to all in the same boat here, to those who are about to enter life with a new family and encounter the same circumstances, and defo out to those of you here who have survived well past it and can share some good advise.
Keep your input coming. Thanks guys!
