Polispolice-Phat beatz (phatest dub in da whirl)

Post by polispolice » Thu Mar 01, 2012 5:09 pm

Okay so my title is sort of a joke but also id just like to take a minute and say hi to everyone this is my first post on this forum. Now i know my tracks arent "up to par" but this song is my second attempt at making a song (a dubstep song for that matter) also im very very new to any music programs and right now im using ableton and fruity loops and so far ive found fruity loops a lot more user friendly especially making drum beats. anyway just want some feedback good or bad i need help with sound structure and getting a more "full' sound so any tips on that would help.

Add a few more layers of percussion to fill out the kick snare hat programming you've got at the moment - it feels very empty when the drums aren't hitting. The melody isn't bad, but does get a bit lost in the mix when the wobble starts up. For the wobble, the sound isn't that bad, but it's very static...try automating a few of the parameters/effects on it so it gradually changes over time.

alright thanks for the feedback and yeah the melody is o.k but i want to make something a little more up beat sort of like Feed Me and the like but i dont know how to make all the crazy sounds and put them together to make something audible meh i guess it just takes practice like anything else. ill keep updating my progress on my work and hopefully the more feedback i get the better my tracks will be
