I just feel like posting this to clear things up, ducking the volume with the peak controller is NOT sidechain compression. You don't compress the sound, all you do is make the volume duck. Two differrent things..

It's still giving me the sound I want, whether it's the "right way" or not.
Please someone close this thread. People still seem to be responding even after the solution has been found.

There's no right way to achieving that sound, I'm just telling what the difference is
