Kick could do with beefing up a bit, it's a little on the thuddy side of things. Like how the tune develops, the elements that keep coming in are doing well in terms of keeping it interesting. Felt that the snare sounds weaker towards the second half of the tune leading up to the break.

Good come back in after the break, the high end halloween style synth in particular is nice.

Like Wub says, that kick could do with a bit of work on it. The snare is a little too generic for me, if I'm honest. Bit more work on it will help it sit a bit better in the mix and cut through the bass too. Good evolution in this after that odd synth comes in too. Second half is nice but I'd fix that break right in the middle of that breakdown.

Thanks guys, I realized the problem with the kick not hitting hard enough. What do you guys suggest?

Got some decent sounds going off in the mix mate, as mentioned above the kick is being drowned out by all the other elements in the mix! You could add a little bit of distortion, subtract some low mids around 400-550Hz using a subtractive EQ, add some presence and make sure that kick is resonating at around 100Hz (fundamental frequency). Low and high cut any Frequencies not being used. Of course this is all a corrective procedure and finding a clean kick that doesnt need much work is always the best choice. Hope this helps

Thanks. I'll try some distortion and change where I'm boosting the kick. It's boosted now at around 94 hz, maybe 100-111 would be better. Couldn't choose when mixing.

It's always a good idea to find good samples that don't need boosting, the reason being when you boost frequencies you are essentially boosting dB+ in that given freq. This means any noises that are in the noise floor are also being boosted and will only degrade your sample! use a spectrum analyzer and go through a bunch of sampled kicks/snares and find ones that are hitting in all the right frequencies then you cant be to far out! the rest is all down to your listening skills my friend!
