If you were stuck with one tune the rest of your life....

Post by Sonika » Tue Mar 06, 2012 6:16 am

What would it be?

Like if you had to have ONE track on repeat for the rest of your life, what would that track be?

At the moment (although it changes for me all the time), I'd go with the tracks off of Bwana's new "Let Me Finish" EP

anything by Bwana really atm.....just so beautiful

next week I'll probably have a completely different answer though :corndance:

John Cage - 4'33"
cos its the only tune which wouldn't send you absolutely mental after about 100 plays.

Ooh good question. I'd say that you don't get to hear it on a full system, but you get some 12" monitors to listen.

Could I hear it slowed down? A side off a Godspeed You... is cheating obviously. Maybe

Every time I click with mouse in FL Studio piano roll I end up writing melodies like that song. It's like some holy symmetry of the intervals. Their every song does them the same way. It's like Mala's "Forgive", really. The sigh @ 4:42 and the hip-hop drums after that is the sickest fucking drop I swear.

wait how did I really think I could do for an eternity without smoking a fat spliff to Phil Collins dub :a:

I was gonna say you need something that wont get annoying after been played 100 times in a row, probably some classical music or something, but then i seen that post.

Theres classic hip-hop tracks and then theres that.

Doubt i would pick any dubstep tbh

Screw picking something short. These occurred to me:

Velvet Underground - Sister Ray
The Mars Volta - Casandra Gemini
Klaus Schulze - Satz Ebene
Tangerine Dream - Birth of Liquid Plejades
Charles Mingus - Trio & Group Dancers
Carla Bley - Hotel Overture
A bunch of Beethoven movements

But I'd have to go for Stravinsky - The Rite of Spring

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

I'd pick any Burial track.

This is also a good call.
