Alien is a classic really for changing the scifi/horror game altogether.

I love Lebowski though I wouldn't call it 'good', and I don't think it was really highly rated by too many. Total flop that got panned. It does have huge cult status, but I don't know anyone who rates it as a great film? Just one of those cult things. The characters are pretty great though.

Speaking of Lebowski, the only thing I liked about Tron: Legacy was Jeff Bridges putting on some kind of Cyber Lebowski persona in it.

.
Not to be pedantic but From Dusk Til Dawn is a Robert Rodriguez film not Tarantino

and resevoir dogs is a remake of another movie,

I wouldn't' say remake, definitely inspired by a few films and bordering on homage in some cases. You mean Kubrick's The Killing mostly though right? Granted I haven't seen it in many years, so maybe it was closer than I remember.

And yeah Rodriiguez only directed it. Tarantino has sold/given a few of his screenplays to other directors.

Resevoir Dogs for years has been accused of ripping off the 1987 Hong Kong movie City On Fire.
