Kevin Mcphee / Gerry Read sound

Post by WAREHOUSE » Wed Mar 07, 2012 2:34 pm

Don't know what people are calling this sound? I suppose it's just House really.. but seems a bit deeper and sometimes slower? Anyways was hoping people could point me in the direction of other tunes like these...

Kevin Mcphee - Your Side

Gerry Read - 90's Prostitution Racket

Cheers, lets get this thread rolling

agreed, loving the sounds of these 2. I just keep it all under the House umbrella to avoid over-analysing the genre, we'll leave that to the youtubers! One of my favourite tracks at the moment is this one below:

Bit faster than the ones you posted but still great. 10 minutes after discovering it on t'internet I'd ordered the 12"! Hope to hear more from this pair over the year, though I could probably save a bit o' dollar if I didn't!

surprised no one mentioned their collab

very interesting textures
love the funky groove

but i was reading a interview on gerry read. and not to null the hype, but its a complete turn off when i learn that a producer just throws together loops and makes a masterpiece. but regardless, the end product is the end product, and for him it works out.
