Even that bit was shit. Honestly, they fucking ruined one of my favourite books. Depp was poor as fuck, whole thing was only saved by Giovanni Ribisi's turn.

The whole subplot about them stealing a half dozen bottles from each party they go to, *SPOILER* plus the confrontation at the end where the bloke dies *SPOILER* all left out.

Loser - terrible teen movie which takes the guy who always embaresses himself in the American pie films and the girl in American pie/American beauty and makes a movie about them in uni. American beauty girl is hawt though so could have been worse.

Buried - surprised me with how much it kept my attention and I definitely like the decision to shoot the whole thing within the coffin to help the audience empathise better. No masterpiece but does what it says on the tin.

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

Marginally amusing moment when his roommates accuse him of being a massive racist

Watched Fallen the other day.

T was alright.
It also has this vocal sample from Distance - Night Vision in it that I didn't know about.

Those are always weird little moments when you recognise a sample in a movie

Brilliant, the lot of them, especially the last 2. Still got a few Coen films to get through, love their stuff.

And if anyone wants to post their own theories for Barton Fink post away :w:

Drive

watched last night, loved it. eerie vibe, synth heavy soundtrack, slow pacing - that's it, i won't give any spoilers. also, don't watch the damn trailer as it gives away the whole movie.

Watched this too last week. Really enjoyed it.
Couple of heavy scenes in it which I wasn't expecting.

Forks Over Knives. Really interesting, focused on the American diet and the effects a largely animal based diet has on our bodies. I'm already a vegetarian, but I would think it could really impact one's meat consumption if they hadn't made the move to vegetarianism already.
