Really not impressed by that Skream tune.... how is it any different from the regular cack he's been churning out lately? it's really uninteresting.

I'm not one of these people that has turned on Skream just 'cos he's popular now, still got mad respect for him and if he writes a decent tune I'll still buy it. But this is rubbish!

I get what you mean, its nothing out of the ordinary or special.. still wouldn't mind hearing it on a system... i've never been hugely fond of Skreams DJing and tune selection, not when i've seen him anyway, i'd rather hear this than quite a few of his other song choices. Anybody remember him at last years DMZ birthday?

Gutted I won't be seeing Oneman, he smashed it in Manchester on Monday.

I completely respect the honesty....Im just trying to get back into the zone of finishing of tracks/dubplates rather that just making everything for radio y'know?

what are the chances that Skream's set can be recorded on sunday? Im intrigued to listen it. Making a more dmz appropriate track gives me the impression the set will be full of dmz appropriate tracks (i hope it is anyway for those who are going)

His set at FWD's 10th was large but he did have the rule of tunes from 2006 only...

His and Benga's set got recorded last year. Hoping it pops up in the near future

His set in Amsterdam last year sucked...I wouldn't hold your breathe and to be fair, the DMZ Sunday track ain't nothing special.

Wish they did tees from last years Amsterdam bash...

Well his set wasn't raved about last year at the 6th bash at the Mass. In fact if I remember correctly there was a full on kick off especially on here. Im a bit more open minded and just went with it on the night but I will admit after the set and all the twisted wierdos cleared out the floor was just left with some deep heads in plenty of space to bob to Yunx and Kryptic Minds which was so fucking sick for the 25 mins it lasted.

I can't say i disliked the set because this time a year ago my taste in tunes was a lot wider so the tunes played were stuff i recognised and thought were ok although not on the same wavelength as the vibe of the night. It was by no means my favourite set of the night but i did roll with it and threw some shapes anyway.

I dunno. Skream will feel he doesnt have to proove himself to anyone one bit because he's been there since day, made a number of tunes that have defined the genre and played some epic shows over the years but it would be great if he were to look back at that dmz bash last year and think

"Maybe my selection wasnt right on the night... Im going to fucking smash this year with tunes that I know will have a big impression on the crowd"

I know Skream definitely has that in his locker and it would be great to see a load of positive hype about his set come Monday morning. I think its fair to say those going over take their dmz seriously. I mean i've mooched to London a few times as a bit of a pilgrimage but travelling to Amsterdam is a step above that. Reminds me of 'Bassweight' and the vibes in that film... They deserve a memorable night. Especially with no London bash looking to happen..

In all honesty...Skream do as he pleases, he's the DJ so he can pick what he wants to play, I don't really care. I just know that I'm not going to make an effort to see him in the future.

Doesn't mean I don't rate him as a producer, most of his recent work is lackluster, but when you look at that Deep Medi release, you know he's still got something. I wouldn't of put him as my number 1 favourite producer in that other thread if I didn't like his music. There are just people doing it better now.

I've seen Skream quite a bit and i've never heard him drop any of his tunes.. none of the older ones anyway. Maybe i was just unlucky... so despite DMZ Sunday not being anything special its definitely got the feel of his older stuff and would love to hear him play it.

I heard Rutten out for the first time a few months back and it was incredible.. just a shame i've never heard Skream personally play his tunes... nobody has a back catalouge like Skream. Wanted to take the long journey down to FWD for his 06 set but just couldn't afford it, if he does play a similar set i too hope it gets recorded!

Well should we make it the newer dampkring on the corner? It has more places to sit.

Me and a mate will be there at 5. I'll be wearing a green t-shirt and red hoody if anyone fancies a chat.

You should definitely get back into the older vibes skream...I spoke with Plastician on his Facebook the other day and he took my criticism (if you can call it that, more like opinion) very well. I personally don't rate your radio/mass friendly tunes but that comes down to personal opinion, there are a lot of people who do like it but it's nice to know you are going to be working more on a traditional tip....after all, there is a still a huge fanbase here.

Last time I went to the dampkring the staff completely put me off the place. Only really been to the one on he corner with 3 floors. Fair enought if you go in with a hat and sunglasses on they ask to see your face. But when I last went in I saw some guy get told off being on his phone. I bought some of that seriously expensive waterworks hash jus for shits and giggles and the guy started talking to me as if I was an idiot for buying it And was full of sarcasm. the waiters almost force drinks upon you. Nob heads. I'm there to relax a get high. Not feel on edge.

Great weed, probably the best interior of all coffee shops but absolute bell ends. It will always be the Hill St. Blues for me now.

Tonight was a madness. Was in the large room all night so I missed Kode9's set, but the ones I did see were sick aswell. Loefah's old tunes absolutely smashed the place. I just got home an hour ago and I gotta leave again to get to school in 30 minutes ...
