Section 80 was probably my favourite album from last year... got major play over the summer.

Can't see those vids, but is one of them that new Cartoons & Cereal tune? Had it on repeat for about half an hour straight the other night.

Definitely check Section 80... renewed my faith in Compton rappers, that whole Black Hippy thing is full of some serious talent.

Check out Ab-Soul, Jay-Rock and Schoolboy Q too... definitely Ab-Soul, I think he might be even better than Kendrick.

The girl that sings most of their choruses and incidentals died the other week... posted it a few threads down. Lame.

Nnnggff... J.U.S.T.I.C.E League quality production and real-as-fuck poetics over the top. THIS TUNE IS SO DAMN NECESSARY.

Lamar's a don. Really showed up a lot better in 2011 than J Cole.

Cartoon & Cereal is the best individual track I've heard, across all genres so far this year. When it drops IRONIC BRRRRAPPP

By the looks of things, the TDE crew have a contract with Interscope/Aftermath. Lamar and Dr. Dre have already been in the studio together, could be big things :corndance:

"Evrybody heard that I fuck wit' Dre and they wanna tell me I made it n**, I ain't made shit, if he gave me a handout I'ma take his wrist and break it n**!"

Dre had better not fuck these kids up and turn them into Compton's Black Eyed Peas. I have exactly zero trust in his production taste these days!! Stay behind the chequebook, Andre. Thankyou, but it's over.. :Q:

been rinsing Section.80 for a while now. not feeling every tune on there, rarely find a hip-hop/rap album I can listen to from start to finish these days. Still a really good quality album!

Exactly what I'd been worrying about from the Dre hookup, tbh... old sounding "classic" beat, none of the and show-off lyrics. Kendrick's still got a great flow on it, but the lyrics are thin as shit. Dre sounds odd, too...

No.
