It's such a shame that FWD>>'s 10th Birthday wasn't recorded. It was the stuff of legend.

Hope everyone had a good time in Amsterdam, you lucky fuckers.

Was a big night: artwork, benny ill, ben ufo and the mystikz made it all worth while for me.
Relatively good system - Loefah - Horror Show handled it expertly, though it has nothing on the Medi system.
The smoke room was such a pleasure what with the music at disposal and was level-headed all night. I was sort of half-heartedly let down by the 'special guest' appearance from Skream. I ended up leaving the room two tracks in to his set; but it's very clear which side of the spectrum he's on nowadays so it came as no surprise, even for DMZ.
nuff jungle vibes which was sick!

If you would have stayed for more than 2 tunes you may have actually heard what I played.... I catered for all 'heads' I played Dutch Flowers,ChestBoxing,Oskillatah,RequestLine and Roots Dyed Dark along with new stuff like Xmas Day Swagger,Vaccilate,Scrooges Revenge and also included tracks from Rustie,Sukh Night,Dismantle and more....

So I dont think you can really comment on my set if you only stayed for 2 tunes....

I think its hard to enjoy a set if you've already got a clouded judgement over what you expect it to be. Must admit you can't have an opinion after hearing 2 tunes. The rest of the set could of been fire but you wouldnt of known. Im sure room 2 offered something to listen to either way.

Ive only seen Skream twice since and including the 6th bash. The other time was at FWD>> I'd look to the night in context before i decided on who i was going to see or not. The night was DMZ so naturally I wouldnt expect to hear the likes of Anticipate but instead tunes like Request Line and Chestboxing. I dont think you can ask any producer/DJ to completely flip their styles for one night. Yes adapt a bit more i'd expect and by Skream's words he sounded like he did that because I bet you those who go and see him on his US Tour won't hear Chestboxing and Dutch Flowerz.

Loefah is kind of in the same boat. Yes he's doing what I think a lot of people would like to see Skream do and goes back to his roots for his recent DMZ sets but the last couple of times i've witnessed sets from him he's still thrown in some tunes related more to that Swamp sound.

How were the artists split over the 2 rooms?

to be fair, you can't really pass judgement on a set you didn't listen to.

big up skream, he always takes the criticism well and i reckon it ain't over, he's always been a versatile producer and i think we've still got good material to come, even though, as I've stated above, I'm not personally feelin' the vibe he's on currently.

future funkizm was great, and that's relatively recent.

The max (big room) :

Ben UFO
Artwork
Loefah / Mala / Coki
Skream
Joker

Don't know who was playing before Ben UFO, came in at the end of his set.
Too bad that I didn't see Kode9, but I had seen him play before and I'd never seen Skream so yeah.

i precipitated the rest of the set on my experience of the last 3 times I've been to a night you've played at, giving it the "benefit of the doubt" mentality every time since DMZ 6th cos you're one of my favourite producers standardly. just saying, the times previous i saw you, you were catering for a different crowd/sound so i got disillusioned with your sets. so two tunes in i thought here we go again. big up for playing those anthems though, there's just a fine line between those different sounds within dubstep.

It's probably my favourite tune of yours man, lost it when I heard it in that old mix for the first time. Do you still have it?

i didn't like the location and the soundsystem. i felt the sound was bad balanced between lowends and midrange/highs. the lightshow sucked. beer price sucked. most of the people...

loefahs set was great, aswell as malas and cokis. skream on the dj-table was kind of funny. you lucky rockstar.

but all in all i take it as an experience that i'm not made for mass raves. so dmz crew, please come to the conne island, leipzig again for the more underground and down to earth feeling.
