Re: Going to the cinema alone
Allow spending £8 on snacks and beverages, just buy a Soda Stream and some Greggs.
Re: Going to the cinema alone
Am I the only person that can go the length of a film without needing to eat? lol
Re: Going to the cinema alone
been quite a few times, my friends are the sort of people who would've seen Good Luck Chuck in the cinema.
Re: Going to the cinema alone
I watched that with my mates
Re: Going to the cinema alone
I don't need snacks? didn't have any today. So it was a completely free day out. But a nice big jug of coke is pretty good to sip on
And how will you inquire into a thing when you are wholly ignorant of what it is? Even if you happen to bump right into it, how will you know it is the thing you didn't know?

Been to the Barbican a few times on my own; thats a bit different though as it shows more than your average hollywood churn out and you get quite a few lone rangers in there too.

Re: Going to the cinema alone
If you have to go alone and are worried about looking like a loser, take a pen and a notepad and periodically write something down. You don't even have to write anything, just draw a picture of a cock if that's your thing. Will make you look like a professional film critic and therefore superior to the rest of the plebs.
But in all seriousness i've been alone plenty of times, when I had my monthly cinema card. First time felt a bit weird but you soon get used to it and don't give a fuck. It's actually quite a peaceful experience and you can contemplate the film when you leave with nobody to distract you.

Preferred.
I can blubber without embarrassment.
and,
if it's inspirational,
allows me to share with similarly affected single ladies.
Many an affair imagined by movie afterglow.

If you are worried about people thinking you are a loser for anything you do/wanna do, then you need to sort your head out frankly and fuck thinking about what others will think.

I've been a few times, you can't talk during the film anyway with your mates so why not?
Re: Going to the cinema alone
I rarely watch movies in the cinema but I go to musical shows/plays alone. Well, the local (junior theatre) ones not the big Broadway shows. Never bringing anyone to a play unless they enjoy it. A couple of people I've brought so far were sleepy or fell asleep. The shows were popular musicals too. Ugh.
