@Rebel: sounds ok, think you have a tiny problem with you kick and sub, need to be a bit tighter. the drums sound ok, but could use a bit more percution to fill upsome space. altogether a solid tune thoo nice work.

@Altron: needs to have more space man, the drums are hard to hear on certain bass sounds, and the hats could come up a bit aswel. the mid range is a bit loud basicaly. i think this is a good track and deserves a tighter mixdown, like to hear it when its finished.

@Electric_Head: man you always have the best vibes going on your tracks, i like it when the break comes in kinda changes it up a little. mixdown is beyond my ability so cant comment, maybe the kick could be a little more punchy.

my wip, the intro and general composition needs some work but worth a listen at this point.

@travis baker - You got my head nodding to this one in all directions, this tune is big! Keep working on it! Big ups!

@coogcoo - It needs a bit more variation and the snare needs to be eq'ed a bit. The beat is pretty good, nice one.

@1stfiest - The vibe is fucking awesome, really into it.

Here's my latest WIP.

Lemme know what you think :D

Thanks mr aural! I'll give you some feedback when I'm not on my mobile lol. After to listening to it again some of the delays just don't work and the rhythym of the sub bass after the first breakdown doesn't suit the kick pattern I was going for. Glad you like the vibes of it though. Peace

@Mr Aural Nice Vocals, not to sure about the empty drums at around 6 seconds, i think some effects or background noise wont hurt. Quite nice when it drops at around 21 secs the percussiony hats are quite groovy and the bass is nice, maybe just switch up the pattern of the kick drum to make things a bit more interesting, sound too much like cut and paste for my liking, which is a bit contradictive because i usualy do this but usually with a pattern of 4 bars at least. however i understand this is a WIP so no harm done. Nice vibe on this!

@Coogcoo While not really a style that i'm into it's definitely a technically sound track, the drumline get's my head nodding which must count for something, just needs a few extra little tweaks, unfortunately I lack the technical skill to be able to say what those might be

@1stfeist Really interesting track, the interplay between the different percussion timbres works quite well. Yeah think you've probably got it right that it needs a bit more variation in the kick.

@MrAural I really like the sample and the main body of the tune, but I agree with feist that the bare drums feel a bit lacking. Again I lack the knowledge or skill to recommend something to fill the space.

This is my W.I.P Still in the incredibly early stages in that there is no Eq'ing or any of that sort of stuff going on as I'm just learning ableton, but give it a listen and tear it to shreds all you want.

Cheers :)

@Electric_Head- Really Enjoyed listening to youre track. Great mixdown, but I thought you might be able to give the pads a bit more volume?
@coogcoo- I like the intro but the body seems a bit stiff maybe more variation in the drums or in the bass pattern could spice it up. :)
@Blenky119- I like the vibe goin on in your track a lot. I think you could replace that bass youve got with a bunch more sub bass to give it more depth.

reworked the mixdown a bit

This has a really nice flow to it man nice! A bit more reverb on that vocal bit might sound nice. Keep up the good work ;)

Gday Guys,

Haven't posted anything for a while - seems every time I check this thread the production quality has increased, great work!

@1stfiest - Dope track man, reminds me of good dub, older dubstep, and a bit of some UKG for some reason. Really really awesome track, 1 thing I should say is that @ about 24seconds your snare comes in really loud compared to all the other hits. Apart from that though, really feeling this track and keep it up.

@MrAural - Another really dope track, real garage styles and I love it. Couple of things; I would personally thicken up your snare ever so slightly with a bit of saturation and the tiniest bit of compression. I also think you should try and add some more melodies and or pads to the mix, and it will sound alot more fuller. Keep up the good work.

@travis baker - This is some real head nodding business, really dope vibes and atmosphere and that sub is deep and heavy. Nothing else to say really, hope you get to release that!

I followed you guys on Soundcloud aswell.

Well, here's another one from me, all criticisms welcomed.

Cheers,

Sam

@coogcoo- Nice track. The drums sound really clear and hard hitting :) Maybe just take a few low frequencies out of the bass?

@lowphat- SICK atmosphere in the beginning, absolutely filthy bassline, and nice diverse beat. Not really sure I can give any criticism, besides maybe eq that snare a bit? sounds kinda muddy.

@sampleD- Nice reworking! sounds brilliant. I really like the leads and the underlying sidechain effect. Makes me want to dance haha. good job :)

Here's my latest WIP. For some reason, it was exported with a blank spot like, every 20 fucking seconds , and I'm way to tired to re export it atm :6: (so please ignore that fuckup)
I mostly just want to know if it sounds ok the ways it's arranged. Feedback appreciated :4:

Acro - Cool vibes in your track, kinda thinking its sounding a little like La Roux Skrillex remix with that choppy vocal effect.
It sounds good :) I cant say really much as my Head phones are shiit.

lowphat - Also digging this track, sounds deep and I like the spacial characteristics. good job

-boring - Sweet track, everything sounds pretty good. but i think the snare needs reverb, maybe put it on every second hit of the snare just to give the contrast of a dry and wet snare.

@johnny666- That track is SICK. Do you frequency split your bass? it sounds so nice.

@Travis Baker : Love that. Nothing really wrong that I could hear. Loved the sub.

@Acro : The arrangement is nice to me. I love all the sounds you used. They sounded nice together.

@lowphat : Damn man i love this. I could listen to this over and over. I love all the background noises.

I have trouble with my sub in pretty much every song i try and make so i decided to make a dub or dungeon style song. so here is my attempt. It is repetitive.
