Not much of a story, i was so wasted i managed to miss the glove and hit the frame of the machine. Had to spend the rest of the holiday walking round with my hand swollen to twice the normal size

I got knocked down a flight of stairs and landed on a tree stump, coccyx first.
It hurt for weeks.
How the fuck does a tree connect with stairs? Surely a tree is outside?
Nope

This school had a quad we all hungout in.
It had a tree in the middle that was partly cut down.
An acquaintance slapped me or something so I ran at him.
He kicked me in the chest and I flew down the flight of stairs, maybe 11 stairs or something.
And landed on the stump, coccyx first.
The worst part was having to walk home with my massive hockey kit back and school bags.

Come live with me in Bromley! We can roam the streets together looking for adventure in ne'er-do-well infested suburbia :corndance:

haha - as appetizing as that does sound, cityzen, i'm trying to sort something up east for the remainder of the summer... will be moving down to the boonies of SE london in the autumn for uni though, can i get a raincheck?!

@magma, yes, for better or for worse, my time on brick lane comes to a close at the end of this month. very much looking forward to getting out of a one bedroom flatshare with my ex boyfriend (!!!) but not enjoying the process it takes to get there. trying to stick somewhere within an easy commute of my work on hoxton square, but still reasonably affordable -- looking in particular in the hackney vicinity. seems like unless you're bang on it and call the gumtree person up the second you see the ad, schedule a viewing for that day and come with deposit in hand, you're out of luck. :corncry:

Bela, you can move in for free if you act as my second.

Sadly I fear the same fate for myself, 10 miles away tops

Nightmare - if it's any help, we've had a bit more luck with SpareRoom than Gumtree. Everyone I've heard moving into places in Hackney/Hackney Wick recently seem to have been going into warehouses and arty lofts... not my kind of environment (!), but I can have an ask if there's any space going?

If you get properly stuck and it's looking like gutter-business for the night, we can find you a Ninja-friendly sofa/airbed in the West End for a few nights easily enough! :Q:

cheers magma :U:

and yeah, spareroom seems a fair bit more reliable than gumtree-- waaaaaay too many dodgy "looking for an YOUNG FEMALE to keep me company"-type ads along with dry landlords who just want to get into your pocket rather than set up a viable, compatible living situation. but there's way more selection to be had on gumtree, so i'm trying both and am pretty much going to jump at the first offer i get at this point.

If you need a place quickly, I do have a tiny spare room with a single bed in it (you'll have to put up with my books). Bnanni's taking the larger spare room for a bit, but after that it'll be available.

Only problem is that I don't live in London :6: Only 40 minutes from King's Cross though.
