Socially awkward around females?

I really don't understand the dilemma of talking to a girl. She's just a person, just talk to her. About anything: the bloody weather, what's she's doing this summer. If she's nice, then there ya go. and if she's not, then she's a bitch innit, and you don't wanna go out with her anyway.

Pretty much all boys (me included) learn this too late. When we're teenagers, you might as well be a different species for all our brains think... it's tough being born this retarded. Pity us.

To be honest this is rather ridiculous. I mean Jesus, you can't get past the talking to a girl stage? Like has been said they're just people. A real issue would be if you found you were constantly getting friendzoned by them. Terrible when that happens.

Most of it's been said before, but to summarise :
-Don't be so judgemental of others, us girls will just think you're a dick.
-Stop being a pansy and just talk to us, we like guys with confidence.
-Show interest in what we say. We know you're not paying attention and it's ok, just nod and smile.
All this being if/when you man up and talk to the girl.

This. Holy fuck this. Planning on asking a girl at uni out tomorrow, or at least getting her number. If this ends with a friend-zoning I may just go postal...

Not that I haven't had my fair share of girls, but it's still something that happens to me and my mates infuriatingly often. Probably our faults though

My friends even started calling me "the friendzone king" when we are around girls & stuff lol (talk about friends)... Don't know where the problem comes from, I'm sociable around them, nice, I do my best to keep them interested... It just NEVER works out
