was wondering why they were boycotting halal but then i read what they're all about - "Islamification" well stopping it... sigh

tbh though aside from the EDL kind of argument my ex is massively on her animal rights and showed me loads of stuff about how they kill the animals and it's absolutely brutal. i know it's part of their religion but i really don't agree with it

if done correctly it is no less humane than non halal, the knives they use are so sharp they die of shock and blood loss so fast they are in no discomfort.

Slaughtering animals in any way is always going to be brutal, it's something that can't be avoided.

The whole concept of breeding an animal up to its peak and then killing it is fucked but that's life!

it's the same with jewish slaughter (shechita)

it looks pretty brutal but the way the arteries are cut means that blood pressure drops instantly and they're unconscious straight away
