ohhh me like. nice overdriven drums. Reesework is good, nice uplifting lead sounds, and i like the vocal chopping. And i loe the fact that this is completely tonal. Good work. Would you mind saying something about this one in return? http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=238905

yea man im glad you can appreciate it, i checked your track man and wow it impressed me man keep produceing, your already solid production wise so your tunes will just get more "appealing" each track you make as your style start to really shine through... again man big ups to that hip hop vibe you got on that 1995 track

Agreed on the chopped voice, very cool.

The mix could use some spacing. In the beginning you set the stage with the pad and synth, but then immediately cover it with the guitar and drums and synths which are way louder. If they aren't too important you can use some mid/side processing to move the pad and synth to the sides and leave the mid open for everything else. If I was going to approach mixing this tune, I'd make my main focus on the interaction of the chopped vox, drums, and bass. Musically, I think everything else in the track can fit and sit around those drivers. Dig the ideas though, keep at it!

Nice track man, heavy drums! May I ask how you got the drums sounding so chunky? Is it put through a filter and saturated or something? Enjoying the playful vibes of this track though man! Very Koan Sound.

danm im not gonna lie i hate that koan sound comment lol. Ive been making tracks at strictly 105 for almost a year and i really like james brown and mj so disco and funk shiz influence me(the koan boys are great producers dont get me wrong) butttt! im glad you like it, and as for the drums, hm no filters but man i tell you what theyve been resampled and layered more then i could tell you, i got like a folder of hits ive been making the past year .... so yea man just special processing but nothing to special ;) im glad you thought it was "playfull" as im trying to get my tracks played out by some bigger names in a more commercial edm setting, either way thanks jsick

Hahaha, sorry bro.. don't get me wrong though, it's definitely got it's own style, it's just that my brain instantly thought of Koan Sound with the playfulness of the track. ;-)

as for elburz, i realize the mix might sound a lil spacey rite now as that is just the mix your hearing no limiting through compression etc. on master bounce.... i go to school rite now for audio engineering, not only that but im very confident on my equipment and my mixing skills i do realize its soundin a little shabby but i haven't eqed elements and alot of other important things that will bring my mix together by the end of the track. Basically what im saying is unless ive hit the tube like 4-5 times and started mixing in my skullcandys, i know exactly how my mixes transition now on other club systems in my area so i feel like "i got this" on the mixing aspect...... then again man i still do appreciate it as its still a wip i will agree its sounding a bit stuffy

All good. Wouldn't be a bad idea to mention the rough shape of the mix for the people pre-listen, as it really distracted me from the music. Looking forward to the end product.

Really sweet track man! Personally I want to hear a little more high end on the snare, would help it cut through the mix as well. Sounding good though dude, really nice reeses. Followed on SC!
