Thats an Eerie beggining mate, nicely done,,,like the jungle vibe but feel might be bit too messy and beats clanging a bit too much for my liking...like the idea on the second drop but again, think tune could be bit less busy/messy.

check out my 2 new tracks and let me know what you think mate: http://soundcloud.com/barbosa-1

The breaks don't have enough depth to them; to much reverb and sit above everything opposed to with them.

If you tightened up and break and took off most of the reverb it would be a lot cleaner - the actual drum programming is great though.

Thanks very much man, will definitely give that a run to see if I can clean it up a bit. This was my first time working with a sampled break so I was worried that I high passed the break a bit too hard so it ran on top of everything else, hopefully fixing the reverb and a bit of EQing will help do the trick! ;)

Breaks have so much character and niceness - you shouldn't try and destroy that with high passing or EQing.

Sure, layer things under give them a bigger impact but make sure your layering doesn't stick out like a sore thumb - you want the layering to compliment not dominate!

Had been giving it a go earlier and is sounding good, safe!
