MPK Mini Knobs (lol) not functioning

Post by Perej » Sun Mar 25, 2012 9:54 pm

Hey

I have frequently used the MPK Mini in the past just to automate stuff on the fly in Ableton. I haven't used it for a week or two but for some reason now whenever I try to assign one of the little bastards to something, it just doesn't respond.

The keyboard itself functions fine, so I can still play notes or whatever, but I want to change the pitch up and down whilst everythings playing, and it wont let me.

I've seen threads on the ableton forum talking about how your supposed to map things but that was never necessary for me, I just clicked MIDI, turned one of the knobs and it automatically asigned.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Clueless here.

Did you check the midi settings preferences? Maybe activate or reactivate the control surface portion or the inputs outpus and such.

Happens to mine sometimes, just close ableton, plug out/plug in, start ableton and it should work. Not sure about the cause, but it solves the problems for me usually.
