@ Ludson
Fucking beautiful man.

@Mannny
This shit is fucking bonkers! I love the reese

@craggle
The high end sounds a little...weird I would say.

I feel there's something need with my wip. I'm not sure. I think if I find a way to pull some of the mids from the bass I'll end up finding something good. ANy suggestions?

@mthrfnk
I really like it. Sounds good on my headphones and on my stereo(Intro)
@mthrfnk
the only thing which struck me was the rapid volume increase around 0.28 (tune from your last post)
@1stfiest
chilled tune ^^ smoke weed everyday (that's prolly bad)

This is my third project I'm on since I started "producing". I didn't work on the drum patterns yet, but I'm quit happy with my mix this time. I thik I need to do a rework on my other songs now...
Also, I'm quite new to this forum and maybe I'm going to earn some alpaca pictures or some crazy ham vst suggestions :D Never mind... Do you have any suggestions what I could add (fx) or do I have to vary the leadsynth pattern because it's annoying as hell after 4.30min? :D

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

I don't find it annoying. It was more like a question on the production and how you guys feel about it. :u:

manaudio- intro sounds good, melodies are on point, the basslines seem a tad dry for me, but their allgood sounds and well mixed. Could do with some vocal samples as well. nice tune mate :)

flippity- nice ambience in the intro, creates a nice atmosphere. drums are dry, the snare especially. all just feels a bit lacking in crispness, id say go and work on the mixdown and make the bassline crunchier and more prominent. good effort though pal keep it up!

mthrfnk- nice vocal sample at the start. nice melodies as well, everything combines well together. i like how you gradually strip everything back at the end, works really well. beautiful track bro nice one.

heres a thing i did for college, not even any kind of dance music, fucking hard to make with only fruityloops and a laptop keyboard though -.-

mthrfnk: I really like this. Nice beats and beautiful soundscapes. Very crisp production overall. The pad and the marimba is perfect. I need to check out your other stuff as well.

Flippity: Not sure on the slow-starting intro but the effects are cool. Heavy drop anyway but I would like more hi-end punch in the snare. I like how you use the samples at 1.13 etc. More of that! Solid tune, keep it up!

manudiao: Love the intro. Big drop and heavy growls as well! Pretty tight production and love how you're using the melody fills, sounds very professional. I would like some better percussions though (too simple and straight-forward right now). Ok, I just saw that you haven't worked on the drum pattern yet so I expect you to add something nice. :) Will definitely want to see the finished version of this! Not sure what lead synth pattern you are referring to since the tune is only 4.28 but I like it still. :P

Cheeky: Nice chord progression and melodies even if it is a bit random. Could be a bit more consistent but some parts are really nice (especially the end) and I can imagine this being mixed to a ambient dubsteppy tune with crisp beats and atmosphere (a bit like mthrfnks' tune maybe!).

So here's my latest wip:

Feedback for others:
@manudiao Track is offline.
@Cheeky Something about your notes on the intro seems off, like you're playing one note too many in a chord. Overall it's okay but I'd add percussion, and background pads/fills. You obviously have musical ability so just expand the track. Also, it ends quite abruptly, try to bring down a track in stages.
@Grok Energy right from the start, nice job. Although your chords don't seem to progress too well. I wasn't prepared for the drop lol - so much going on. I'd tone down the craziness, specifically the uber fast drums - save them for a few bars at the second drop. Mix wise - sounds good.

Here's a little thing I worked on today for just over an hour - a remake of Starships by Nicki Minaj (incoming abuse herpderp :6: :6: :6: ), anyways by remake I mean I used the chords & melodies to make a bit of a poppy house track. Give it a listen before you judge me :lol:

Soundcloud

Track was mixed on headphones, and very roughly mastered, some things probably sound shitty on other peoples systems.

Any comments, feedback and plays/comments on SoundCloud is really appreciated :)

Thanks. :W:

@mthrfnk-contemplation- really dig the filtered intro, has sort of a trip hoppy vibe which is cool, the snare could come out some more.
@mthrfunk-influx- really like this one; the sample is cool as shit, very sci-fi-ish, another layer of deeper bass would do the trick for me.
@grok-coral sky- drums are crisp, not too crazy on the sound choice for the chord stabs but of course thats just personal preference, theres alot of energy in the drop, pretty cool.

I updated the track on soudcloud with this new drum pattern, I think it is still the same link (as it's still working for me). I added pannings to the growls (they're going now going from left to right or vise versa.)but the changes are very minimal and I don't even know if this is the right way to go with baselines as someone said they are somehow to much punching in the face. I'm afraid of using reverbs or delays on my bases because they set them so much behind in the mix (excuse my denglish here, but I think you know what I mean). I want them to be right in our faces :D

@rebel - drums have a wicked groove, got me moving . Sub needs to be a bit more apparent though
@mthrfnk - claps with delay were slightly off time and offputting. Very harsh transition, hurt my ears! Little bits of clipping throughout the track and slightly better samples could have been used but liked it overall
@Grok - some rolling snares in the intro drums I think would give a sick jazzy/fusion feel to it. Is that a harpsichord in there lol? Don't really like it after the drop though, instruments don't seem to sit well together.

@rebel. i really liked almost everything about your tune. its hard to find a weak spot, but i do enjoy a big drop. that was a *slight letdown. very good mixdown though. good work.
@manudiao, def good melody, and note structure. i would guess you play an instrument, or at least have knowledge in music theory. the mixdown sounds good to my ear, and the song flows well. nice progression, def keep it up.
@cheeky, its a bit hard to critique just a piano melody, as the only advice i can give is on note structure. it has decent melody, and i like the progression in the second half, i listened to your tune "run it" def dig that chit man, haha. gimme some dub to hear next time ;)

okay guys, i threw this song together this morning, after staying up for a good while on a "psychedelic adventure" XD its a rough clip, and needs a lot more work, but give me some feedback=P

@Mthrfnk - Ah here now bud this is right up my alley, dont have my speakers atm thru headphones. you have some very very nice sounds goin through your head i must say big up on that track it's beautiful 320 when it's done if ya dont mind :)

@Flippity: Kicks are spot on, bass synths mixed well, vary it up a bit with synths maybe put in a synth lick at the end of every second bar or mix in a pad with an automated LP filter jus somethin to fill up the other frequency bands.

@Cheeky- nice melody bud, i hear fruity keys? get yer hands on a nice oul piano synth and play it on that will sound real nice

@Grok- Huge tune bud, nice work

@Rebel- Dark one, bitta panning on the percussion wouldnt go astray will make it sound a bit more spacious which i'd say is the ultimate aim of the song, maybe try some delay panning or summit to get the atmosphere a bit wider, nice song lookin forward to hearin it when it's done.

@Eye-sic- some fuckin trippy synths, your bass is too compressed and the sample aint up to scratch, layer a couple of snares together, peak them at 200 and around 5k for a bit of presence and get em smackin.

This is my New WIP, feedback appreciated.
