@cor_grimey: Lovin that bass and the cutting off-hats, this shit is bangin. The way the synth comes in in the second half is amazing cause it makes you second guess the time of the tune (at least it did for me), love that. Only thing I'd say is maybe add some rising tension from :55 to when the bass kicks in? and when the synth comes in and you're going for the variations, I would say if anything vary the rhythm as well as the notes.

@RayMan612: The one tune goes hard (although not my usual cup of tea) and the other is just touching, next level man. Love the fact you make fairly busy percs in the second tune without being too busy, grabs the interest. Pacing is on point. Just about flawless imo!

@benq: I agree with what rayman said, the clap is nice to pierce through the mix a bit. The synth lines (especially at the beginning 1:10) and the bass are superb, rolls you right through the tune. The tone of those pipes that come in through the second half are just lovely, adds texture. Only thing I have to say is i'm not a big fan of that snare, at least in a tune like that. The best part is how it progresses very organically and never stays the same for very long. Makes it totally worth listening to the end.

@Hordes: This tune is sick, especially after the shuffle hats come in around 3:12. The written synth lines are great, and the synths themselves fit together very well. I would say particularly in the beginning the vocal may be a bit over-used, 12 seconds in the descending scale sounds like its major, which i'm not sure quite fits... However when you write out the vocal line more intricately about a minute in it works wonderfully, and in the second half with the shuffle hats especially.

Just polished this up, not quite sure if i'm done with it... Slow steady goer

@cor_grimey - sick percussion, really like the switch on the kick to the upbeat, sub comes through well even in headphones, really drops in at the end there, great track!

@Blu2 - first 2 minutes get a little repetitive maybe if you brought one of the leads in early that are through the 2nd part, im not really into strict 4x4 stuff like that, but sounds good

@AllNightDayDream - atmosphere is amazing, PERCUSSION IS FIRE! not sure how i feel about everything dropping out around 1:35 & 2:35... Id actually love a 320 of this tho 8)

@rayman 612

Very nice vocal sample to get us into it. It's very fitting when you have the effected vocal with the pitch shifted duplicate behind the main vox, nice touch. Where are the vox from? If you don't mind me asking. ;-)

Sub bass on that first kick could be a bit heavier, that would feel nicer I think. At the moment it's a bit thin IMO.

You're hats + snare fit very nicely in the mix. However, rhythm of the hats throughout 1st verse is a bit stale and could maybe do with some syncopation or just even a slightly different rhythm at the end of every 8th bar or something! :4:

I think you're breakdown at the 2:10 ish point could do with some percussion still running behind it so you don't lose the momentum and groove. It feels like it kind of drops dead slightly.

Over all I think it's a very nice track considering I don't know you're experience. And of course, my comments are all just opinions so please don't be offended by any of it! :t:

*breath* OK, here's my track. Now, this isn't the final edit. I have a newer version where the mastering limiting isn't as harsh and the intro stabs are filtered using a low pass that slowly opens up. But you get the just!

*BE AS HARSH AS YOU LIKE* But of course, positive comments are welcome ;-) enjoy!

@AllNightDayDream: Incredibly deep. I love the complex rhythms. I'm loving the synth you used for the chords. I'd actually like to hear it grow more :D

@Soiree: It sounds kind like chopped and screwed stuff, not very danceable though with all the beat jumps. lol.

@blu2: I'm really, really digging those glitchy shredding like arps, the kick sounds like it needs a little more smack. And like rayman612 mentions it does get a little repetative till the other instruments make their way in. I love the pumping sidechain thoughout.

@rayman612: I love the 808 sounds so much! You did a great job chopping up those vocals up, and the dubby delay is sick! The bells-ish sound in the breakdown is great, sounds out of this world. I kind of wish there was a little bit more of the full on groove starting at 2:39.

@FMX: I love how you start this! it feels so unusual to me but I like it. Great job on the heavy panning for 'bitch' lol. Around the 1:30's I kinda think the glide was a little long on the main synth, but just a personal preference. I also would add some kind of other mid range synth in to complement the melody.

@JustDezz: the main synth doing the chords gets kind of grating to me after a short while, and the kick sounds very subby, but I'd personally like a little more smack. At 2:12 ish the song takes on a whole other character and I love the synth that leads it. Those vibes are so chill. And it just keeps getting better when you make it stab with delay.

@minifletch: So deep, kinda loungey... at first I wasn't sure how the vocals fit into the whole picture, but by the end of the verses it seems to slip into time and resolve itself.

Here's my attempt at electro sounding house. I'm not as comfortable in the genre, I feel like my drums need work but I don't know what turns me off about them. I'd greatly appreciate some feedback.

@FMX = BIG! feelin this, really love the snare hits, that classic house sound! also the my tune samples "Ice Cube - Steady Mobbin"

@Triphosphate = idk if it counts as electro if you change the drums from 4x4 but that's what id do, just switch them up a bit

@wobbles = big tune! the shit i made when i started wasn't anywhere near as good as that, mix is good too, love it

@minifletch chill track, nice vocal samples, I think if you pitched it down gradually from 1:00 to 1:33 so it got super deep (still intelligible) for the final isolated line, it'd sound cool.
@wobbles very raw sounding, which is nice, reminds of boddika a little bit, I think you need to define the main groove of the song better though if you know what I mean.
@JustDezz I really dig the purple 80's kinda synths, the percussion needs a little work imo though to compliment the synth.
@Soiree the recording's kinda low quality, but I really dig the song itself
@Triphosphate this has awesome potential, just phatten up them drums a bit more.

@ trihosphate - Not really the sort of stuff i'm into but i like the tension in the build up to the drop, dunno what to say production wise...
@ wobbles - I'm feeling this mate, never personally been able to use 808 drums to much affect but you've nailed it!
@ finger flexor, won't play on my pc for some reason :u:

Started a side project with a mate of mine who doesn't really produce, dunno what to say about this track...

@Hordes - Vocal cut is awesome, percussion is strange with no hats till like 4 mins in, but it works real well, really minimal vibe. Bass comes through, no probs with mix, great tune. Idk how much your friend had to do with it, but for dude who doesn't produce, big tune

@FingerFlexor - intro had head nodding, lead synth's a bit harsh imo, like the off tune thing going on w/ them tho, kicks are really nice, really love that bit that starts at 2:04

mine get no love in the dubs forum, so i guess ill post here...
just looking for what people thinking, dont ever produce with a synth, and this one relies pretty heavy on it

@Hordes I like the track, and I pretty much agree with what rayman said, but your bass drum sounds a bit weird. it sounds like you put reverb on it.

@rayman I love the vocals and overall feel of the track. I think a little more choppiness/swing would suit it great though, it's pretty straight forward as it is.

@wobbles I like the 808 vibe, it feels like it's a bit all over the place but I'd say that was what you were going for. Not sure how I feel about the vocals though.

Here's mine, not really DSF house but oh well...

some quality in here again...

@ayatollah: sounds lush, great groove, nice tune. those chords sound amazing, did you make them with hardware or software?

@wobbles: tune is bangin, vocals are a bit loud though,

@rayman: i love the original and your remix is sick. loving the reverb on the drums.

@hordes: sick tune, love everything about it. percussion is so crisp and nice, vocals are lovely too.

@ wobbles - like the minimal vibes but agree with tunabomber that the vox are a bit too loud, 808 bangs hard though :Q:
@ Ayatollah - really feeling this, the chords and vocals are both so nice, gonna DL for sure
@ tunabomber - this is nice, really like the main melody and especially the vocals, key change in the middle threw me off but a proper headnodder this one still

This one's a fucking mess that I originally intended to sound tongue in cheek but yeah...it happened:
